We shared the 2 attic rooms over New Year with some friends and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, the amenities clean, comfortable and stylish. The breakfast was generous and tasty. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in the beautiful city of Leiden, and we hope to return soon.

We wanted a private, intimate and cozy setting for our religious ceremony and wedding reception. Boutique hotel was perfect! The setting made our photos so regal with a elegant wallpaper, gold cutlery, candles, and 16th century style decor. The 3 course meal served was simply exquisite from the entree to the dessert. The goat cheese salad, guinea fowl and tiramisu...

Many raving reviews of Boutique Hotel Huys Van Leyden do not pertain to the hotel itself but to other properties at nearby locations, which go by the same name: a canal view loft in an old house (54 yd) and a ‘studio’ and apartment in a modern building (164yd). Very confusing for Tripadvisor users! Boutique Hotel Huys Van Leyden is...

Dear Guest, Thank you so much in putting so much effort in writing down a review. We are very disappointed that you reviewed your stay as ‘disappointed’. Our Hotel (not a B&B) is rated as the highest in our city for years and we are sorry you did not experience this feeling. But as you took time to write everything...

I've always wanted to stay here but on past visits to Leiden it has always been booked. This time I was lucky and booked the loft, a 3rd floor apartment with living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Perfect for 5 days of sightseeing and connecting with family and friends! The loft was well equipped with everything I needed, the bed...

Stayed here for three nights at the end of October. Our room was very well appointed (room no. 4 on 2nd floor at top of steep spiral staircase) and had a lovely view of the canal. There was a large flatscreen tv and espresso coffee machine and tea making facilities. Bathroom was small but very clean and well equipped with...

This was the perfect place to visit the town of Leiden and be close to the centre. The rooms were comfortable, and immaculately clean. Breakfast was worth getting up for and the service terrific. Overlooking a canal it was only a short walk to museums shops and many restaurants.

Small hotel with only five rooms, all very beautiful decorated. Its close to main streets and many restaurants. Breakfast is good but a bit expensive. Good beds. We stayed in second floor and it is very steep stairs to go up. We didn't think of that as a problem but some might.

I have been twice to this hotel, since I often stop over in Holland on my way from North America to Europe. This hotel is simply an experience in subdued luxury. It has very few rooms, all individually decorated in antique furniture style, as it is hosted in a heritage building from the 17 th century. The rooms are full...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel which was very boutique and quirky to say the least. We had a beautiful room which did have steep stairs to the bed area which not be suitable for older guests. The wellness centre was right beside us and we made full use of the jacuzzi. The breakfasts were very nice and...

We only had one night in Leiden, which is our only regret. We stayed in the apartment which would be great for longer stays or families. It was complete with a small kitchen that separated the bedroom from the living room (that I think had a pull out couch). There was a washing machine, drying rack and ironing facilities. The...
