Not a great deal of choices in the heart of Salmo. We were drawn to the Reno because it appeared quaint on the outside. Definitely lots of wear and tear visible in the rooms, but they were clean. We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting our son and his family. Allergy issues prevent us from staying with our son so he suggested the Reno. Nice thing is it is right next door to our son's place. We checked in with Suzie and she was more than friendly and helpful even offered us help from 2 teenage boys...

The Reno is NOT a 5 star hotel,but having said that doesn't mean it's a bad place. In fact it's the only hotel I will stay in Salmo!!!!Large rooms,with kitchenette,and seperate bedroom area. Yes it's getting a bit old,and there's minor flaws but are you really here to complain about the scuff on the walls or that the TV isn't...

This day and age wifi should be throughout all hotels. Apparently the signal is stronger closer to the office. Room is clean and cozy. Bathroom is tiny. Proximity to town centre is good. I would stay here again if i knew i could get stronger internet. Friendly staff.

We stayed there in August on our way to Nelson. had it chosen because of reviews and price which is not that cheap BTW. While staff Alex was very friendly and helpful but there's only this much he can do. Wi-Fi is extremely slow. Motel is pretty much on major route and it gets noisy early in the morning. room...

Service was really friendly and motel manager was always available and friendly. Rooms were very clean, with kitchenettes... Great for overnight traveling. BBQ is small, but good for two steaks.
