The Hotel Royal Bridges has earned accolades for its tranquil atmosphere, with guests enjoying spacious rooms that boast large windows and panoramic views. The staff's helpful and friendly demeanor amplifies the positive experience, complemented by the hotel's rigorous commitment to cleanliness. While the rooms are spacious and generally well-received, a few guests have suggested that some interiors could benefit from modernization. The amenities, including a satisfying breakfast and a central location, make it an ideal base for exploring Delft's attractions.

The hotel is in a grat location: a row of old houses in the center of town that have been knocked together. There is a lift, but lots of stairs and fire doors between "houses". The rooms, however, have been decorated in the "dutch modern" style, and don't have any quaint old touches. They are quite stylish, but completely impractical for living. Our room had not a single drawer or storage space; I asked to switch to another room, but although it was different, it was equally impractical. There was a large empty wooden box that had once held a refrigerator, but there were no shelves inside that might have made it useful for storage. There was a single tiny "hook" in the bathroom, but it was designed as a cylinder projecting horizontally from the wall with the slightest of grooves on the top side; anything one attempted to hang on this "hook" immediately fell off.

There are no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room. There was coffee available in the breakfast room, but a sign said that it was forbidden to take coffee back to one's room. There was also hot water for tea, and tea bags, at breakfast, but no tea pots or tea cups.

If you are a single person here for one or two nights with nothing but a coat and a briefcase, this hotel will work well for you. If you have luggage and expect to unpack, find another hotel.

The hotel is ideally located for a city trip to Delft and is very well furnished and equipped. Big room with seperate lounge area, modern bathroom with shower and bath, and a big TV. Our room was located on the ground floow, with doors to the inner courtyard of the hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from. Highly recommended for a pleasant stay in Delft.

We had an amazing stay at Royal Bridges! My wife, my 7-year old daughter, and I visited Delft for the first time. Our flight was later than planned and when we arrived, most of the restaurants in Delft were closing. The two places we found open didn’t accept international debit cards and we had nothing to eat. Johnny at the front desk was not only polite and kind, he went above and beyond, bringing some bread and ham and cheese to our daughter so that she could eat something for dinner. Every member of staff was friendly and made us feel at home.

The hotel is clean. It seemed like someone was always cleaning something. The room we had was spacious with a nice bathroom and access to the rear patio. Our daughter loved running around the patio on our short breaks between site seeing.

The location is fantastic. You are located right on the canal, just a few steps from a wonderful coffee shop, and a few more steps from Markt Square. Shops and restaurants are everywhere and there are a couple of grocery stores just a street or two away. We had a fridge in the room, so the grocery stores were a huge bonus as we ate lunch on our patio most days.

We are so excited to come back and stay again. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

We stayed in Room 111: lovely lobby and huge, lovely room but ugly brown carpet in hallways that sorely needs to be replaced. Room looked out into canal. Pretty quiet at night. Plugs by bedside a plus. Very nice front desk staff. Amazing location, a few minutes walk from everything in the historic centre and close to running paths along the canal. Overall WiFi was very good on the phone but not so much on the laptop.

Warning that there are mosquitoes at night so DO NOT open the windows. Unfortunately that makes it quite stuffy. There is no cover sheet on the bed and only a duvet so I facilitated between being way too hot and cold at night. Thankfully the bed is super comfortable. A big disappointment was the lack of recycling and attention to the environment: changing towels every day (even tho I asked that not to be done) and mini toiletries (that is wasteful). C’mon guys, it’s 2020! Get with it.

From the online photos, I expected more and was disappointed.

The first room we saw was huge but average - cheap grey carpet tiles, dated plain white tiles in bathroom with unpleasant grouting and a very tired suite. No wardrobe, just an open fronted hanging rail. A dirty footprint on the white duvet. Room right on the street, with people and cars walking past constantly. Asked for another and was shown to an upper, smaller, room that was better. But... no drawers, no hooks, one small wardrobe with a teeny shelf, no make up mirror (other than in the steamy shower room, where there are no shelves to put anything on), two single beds pushed together up against the windows so one of us had to clamber to the end to get out, and a fridge that wouldn't close. Uncontrollable heating made it cold in the room (no extra blankets supplied) and like a roasting sauna in the shower room. Chipped and peeling paint around some of the doors. It was quiet, though, and the canal view was great. Beds were comfy.

The location of the hotel, 3 mins walk from the central square and 5 mins from the station, is perfect. Lots of restaurants nearby. Also 5 mins from the Zuidpoort car park. I understand you can pull up outside to unload before parking but, honestly, that didn't look feasible to me as you would block the road entirely so would just have to chuck the cases out and go. The breakfast is adequate and provides all that you need, including cooked options.

Staff were welcoming on arrival but didn't look up from the computer to say goodbye as we left. Online check in and check out is useful and quick. Foyer is pretty and you can sit at the breakfast tables and have a free tea or coffee any time.

The hotel is a mixture of styles from old Delft to modern hotel. Situated right in the centre of the town, within easy walking distance of the market square and main sights, it offers a very friendly, clean and flexible service. Well worth a visit.

The Hotel looks good and seems to be clean. Breakfast was a little poor and the "standard rooms" on 2nd floor are very small. Biggest issue for me was the verry verry soft matratz in the bed. Will stay here again, but will rent a bigger room ;-)

When we are in Holland, we will always stay at this hotel. It is clean, oozing with charm and character, and it's centrally located and right in the middle of Delft's historic center. The friendly staff speaks fluent English and is very accommodating. Breakfast is plentiful and I particularly love the coffee machine and the Dutch pancakes with syrup (reminds me of my Dutch childhood)! We love this hotel!!! My only recommendation for improvement is to upgrade the quality of the towels. However, this is just a small suggestion - not meant to be a complaint. Stay at the HOTEL ROYAL BRIDGES!

The hotel is ideally located close to the centre, so easy to discover on foot. The staff are lovely and helpful and the hotel was clean.
Breakfast was simple, but sufficient.
My room was very small and looking out on a rooftop is not the nicest view you can think off.

The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Delft, on a lovely, peaceful street on a canal and right next to the train station. Restaurants, bars and cafeterias are only 1-2 blocks away.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel building is lovely, of traditional Dutch architecture and the interior decoration was beautiful.

I strongly suggest breakfast, as it had everything (eggs, cheeses, hams, bread, croissants, fruit, milk, cereals, cookies, etc.) and everything was very tasteful!

Overall, we had a great time and if we ever visit Delft again, we will definitely stay at Royal Bridges again!
