The location is great, close to the train station and a short walk into the city center. Parking was easy to find in October but might be more difficult in summer time.

Room was quite small but I had a sofa and a small desk. The sofa was quite stained though so never used it.

During the visit of one week the elevator was broken and the stairs are steep and not made for people having trouble with walking.

At the time of the visit the outside of the hotek had a renovation so you could not see anything through the windows.

Breakfast was ok, could have a better selection for hot food.

The hotel was adequate for our needs such as location and breakfast(which was excellent) but disappointed with lack of friendliness from staff. Reluctantly filled up empty trays an hour before breakfast was due to finish. For a comfort double we found it a bit small. Had to keep windows open as there is no aircon so was bit noisy

The hotel food wasn’t the best and the price.I don’t think the price matched the standard of food that was being delivered.

The Staff are very nice and speak very good English! One in particular I honestly thought was English!

From my experience the room wasn’t the best size and I felt like it was an old cupboard turned into a bed room. However my friends had nice rooms.. maybe I was just unlucky.

I was booked at Fletchers by my company. It is not a business hotel !
My room was the size of a shoebox.
No desk, no chair, no coffee/tea facilities. No air conditioning.
I was told to use the bar area for any work. Not good for conference calls.
Breakfast was a farce. You had to book a time for a seat, and when i got there nearly everything was gone and it took 2 or 3 requests to staff to get the food replenished. Oh, and they ran out of milk !
There was a bus queue for the one coffee machine.
There was a menu for room service but be prepared to sit on the bed to eat.
The outside pavement area, where you can eat, was filthy (compared to the next door hotel)
If you're here for 1 night it's OK.
I was here for 4 nights and it was a painful experience.

When checking in I was requested to make a booking for breakfast as it was a buffet. Thinking that freshly cooked food would be available Iwas looking foirward to it. What a mistake. I turned up at the requested time to find that the hotel ahd ran out of milk there was no freshly cooked food only dried up remains of scrambled eggs and under-cooked fatty bacon. When I requested fresh food and milk I was informed that there was more people than expected. So my colleague and I had croissants for our buffet breakfast. We sat outside from 09:00 to 12:00 and our table remained uncleaned so my colleague returned the plates and cups back. A really bad experience made only worse by the fact we are here until Wednesday.

We stayed at hotel for a long weekend. The summer heat was intolerable in the rooms, that cannot be equipped with air/co because of the historical restrictions on the (very nice) building.
Our room was small, extremely hot and beds not very confortable. Duvets in August are not acceptable, as well as showers with no doors, they make the bathroom a lake.
If the room is facing the Stationstraat, to sleep with open windows is impossible because of the pub on the other side of the street, open unti late in weekends.
The Duco bistro is average good, we had two dinners and quality was different one evening from the other. Service is good, a bit slow. Meat with pepper sauce was very good. Poor wine list

We recently stayed at Fletcher Hotel Restaurant in Middelburg, the location was ideal as it was just across the train station.

The service we received was absolutely amazing. Especially Kristina, Maryke and Kenny made us feel special. They are an asset to this hotel and the care, kindness and professionalism are impeccable. They did their best to accommodate and ensured our stay continued to be as smoothly as possible.

We recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.

Arriving at the hotel and everything looked well. After I payed and everything was explained they said the elevator was out of order. They didn't offer the bring the suitcases to the room. Entering the room I saw 2 single beds. I specificity ordered a double bed. After asking questions they said all rooms have single beds.
The room is very noisy.
Bathroom looks very nice and the whole room looks clean! The Nespresso is very welcome!
