Sitting in the heart of the Central Station Area, the NH Utrecht hotel is a contemporary high rise not far from the Utrecht Central train station. One of the tallest buildings in Utrecht, the hotel provides guests with stunning cityscape views. The Jarrbeurs Convention Center is located nearby, and Amsterdam is a short 30 minutes away. There are 236 light and bright guest rooms. Each has a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, and coffee and tea machines. For guests who enjoy more spacious accommodation, our Junior Suites have a separate sitting area. A tasty and filling breakfast buffet is offered each morning in our ground floor restaurant. Guests are also welcome to request made-to-order hot dishes or an early bird breakfast. Delicious Dutch cuisine is also served in our hotel restaurant, with an à la carte menu and vegetarian options available. On the 4th floor is our compact gym which is open daily. We stayed for one night in the hotel and the location is perfect. Right next to the central station it is easily accessible and the city center takes like 5 minutes walk. The location allows to travel easily around town as it is next to the public transport square. The rooms are okayish, I have to admit that the interior was a bit outdated but this is my personal opinion/style. Apart from that is there a good bed and also the bathroom facilities are alright. Having seen my friend's room can I say that some rooms are cleaner than others, but according to them is the staff open to help (friendliness). Eventually I would say that my feeling is that we slightly overpaid but I would not consider that as a huge issue. And for those who are interested: their COVID measures are spot on!

Booked for 4 nights in August and was pleased with the cleanliness of the Hotel, staff attitude, and dining facilities. Quite central in Utrecht, only a few minutes for the Railway Station, and well served by trams and buses.

Our stay at NH Utrecht was marked with excellent service from the staff, especially Marcel, the chief of the cleaning crew. For the entire two weeks, we took advantage of the in-house breakfast. It was truly one of the finest breakfast venues we have ever seen. The food in general in Europe is far superior to what we ordinarily eat in the United States, and it's flavor and quality was on full display here. The fresh fruit and delicious yoghurt are worthy of special mention. Also, the hotel's location virtually next door to the Central Railway Station means that one can travel to any destination within the Netherlands, and even beyond to Belgium, France or Germany, in literally just a few hours or even minutes. Great hotel located close to the central station of Utrecht. Excellent service and front desk personnel are very responsive to our requests.
The fitness center has good equipment for workouts and is open all day.
I would have given them five stars, but I was charged 39 euros additional upon checkout for use of prime wifi, meanwhile I didn’t even know there was such thing.
All I did was sign in using the room # and last name for wifi service that was advertised as free.

This hotel at 200 meters of the central Station of Utrecht and opposite the Beatrix theather gives good value for your money. Clean room - good sleeping beds - fine extended breakfast - good lunch possibilities. Do book a room here.

After happily leaving NH Hotel Weinheim (Germany)as a repeated guest , I thought I could stick the same brand for the same experiences if not better.
To start with the Check-in procedure at the reception desk with Ms.Megan was absolutely not acceptable .She was there to push back the customer with her attitude and lack of very basic knowledge.
When I made the reservation, they didn’t inform me about fixed delivered style.breakfast.I had to accept what they were offering..The description of the breakfast differed from what they were delivering.
Breakfast tray weren’t picked up 30 hours after being served.
When I asked the name of the GM at the reception desk different times one time they said that they didn’t know and the other time they gave the name (Rob Besselink)without any direct contact address even though I insist to get it.
The room weren’t cleaned during my 2 days stay.
Coffee machine at the reception area is working properly and running hot water is available in the room.
But there is NO PARKING possibilities neither at the hotel nor close to the hotel.
You need to drive like 10 minutes and take a taxi to come back to the hotel.
This information were also not given as well.
Now days we assume not only a parking spot availabilities but also charging facilities for Electric vehicles !
If my negative experiences can create proper decisions made in the future for the hotel as well as future guests I will feel much better .

We understand from your review that check-in by my colleague was not as you expected. Thank you for bringing the situation to our attention, we have discussed this as a team. The breakfast service we provide is determined by the current measures, so as the restaurant has to remain closed due to government restrictions, we currently provide room service only. The tray should have been collected after you enjoyed your breakfast though. As cleaning of the room is concerned, this is done daily for stayovers, but you slipped through, as we moved you from one room to another overnight. As a downtown location space is very limited, so parking is not offered by the hotel indeed. We recommend parking at Jaarbeurs P1 or Kop van Lombok Parking, both are 20eu per day and also offer charging facilities They are a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. I would like to offer my apologies for these unfortunate experiences, we are sorry that your stay with us has left a negative impression on you. We do understand that this apology cannot change the experience you have had in our hotel anymore. Hotel was nice and comfortable. Location is great right next to Utrecht Central train station, 3 mins walk from masjid and good halal food available at walking distance.
Utrecht Downtown is also 15 mins walk and bikes are available for rent at the hotel as well for EUR 16/day.
Kind and cooperative staff willing to help out to the extent that they can. Facilities in room and hotel are okay not outstanding.

Pros:
At first, they assigned a room on the second floor on the street side. It wasn't quiet. So, I asked the receptionists to change my room. They changed the room and provided a quiet one. The room was clean. The bed sheets were shiny, and the quality of the toiletries was very good. The breakfast was good with a good variety of warm and cold foods.
The location was great, just near the Utrecht Train Station.

You do not know how good or bad a hotel network is, until you face a problem and they have to provide you with a solution. Imagine it is December 31 afternoon and in a few hours you are joining a New Year party. You arrive at the hotel you booked telephonically and paid for 5 rooms. The receptionist does not find your reservation, and there is no room available. Finally, the booking is found, and the system shows it is for December 2023!
My mind starts spinning, but I think: This is NH. They are a great company. I am sure they will find a solution.
As I made the reservation with the Central Reservation Office, the receptionist cannot help. (You know the silo syndrome of large companies!?)
After hanging for 48 minutes on the phone with a CRO agent, hearing for 6 or 7 times apologies for the mistake made by the agent who took my reservation, I ended up staying in the other NH hotel in Utrecht, paying EUR 35 more per room, 20 minutes extra walking from our New Year Eve location.
The Central Reservation Office made the mistake but has no power over the hotel. You know the strategy: It is our mistake, but it is THEIR decision. We have our hands tight.... Typical silo culture. Worse customer nightmare!!!!
I thought I was talking to NH Hotels Group.
It is great to hear 7 times apologise for a mistake made by the company, but a gesture of goodwill toward the customer ensures loyalty. Your silo culture sends customers away.
Would I consider going back to NH? Never!
Would I recommend the network to anyone? The opposite!

Very good hotel for the price and location. We made the booking 3 months in advance, which was worth the effort seeing there were no more rooms available. This hotel has all the essentials. Location, space, app for room requests, all the bathroom amenities with lovely green tea gels and lotions, the lovely and helpful staff. They’ve got it all. The rooms were clean and we had a standard connecting room on the sixth floor with a side view of the square. The food and amenities at the breakfast buffet were good. A nice touch was the egg station, without having to wait at a counter. Just put your fresh ingredients in a bowl, hand the bowl over to the attendant and the omelette is served at your table. Really nice touch. And again, great central location!

Our restaurant is open! The breakfast is served in the restaurant called 'El Rincon'.
The breakfast starts at 06:30 until 10:00 from monday until friday. On saturday breakfast is from 07:00 until 11:00 and on sunday, breakfast is from 07:00 until 12:00.
