Having stayed at "Elsa's Home" on seven occasions between 2006 and 2013 I can say that it really is perfectly named. It just has that "second home" feel when revisiting after a long absence. I was surprised to read the negative reviews here. I found both Elsa and Gianfranco to be lovely people, who always had time for me and have great charisma. arrived late at night and was welcomed with a nice hot cup of coffee and very friendly conversation elsa and gianfranco made me feel at home next time i go to utrecht i try and stay longer it really feels like visiting family sarah

this is the 2nd time i have stayed with elsa and gianfranco at their home in utrecht. if you want the generic comforts of a large chain hotel this is not for you BUT this is a wonderful place to stay due to the two genuinely welcoming hosts who greet you like an old friend, for the pots of tea...

I have to say that I really enjoyed my time there. The hosts are very friendly and give you either a family - like or a silent atmosphere. Bad company, money money and no clean toilet, kitchen, very cheap old food,(amateurs for money)so the first and last time!!!!!!! do not go to this place!!!

this is our sixth stay at this excellent friendly Guest House, Wonderful hosts always making us feel so welcome, with superb breakfast to set us off for the day. Bedrooms are excellent and clean with all amenities available. We would highly recommend a stay at Elsa's home

Very nice B&B with good service, good atmosphere ,hot baked croissants for breakfast close to the center with bus and good size rooms.Gives your the typical Dutch feeling and has access to the wireless internet Highly recommended Hilsen David
