Beautiful setting in the " town with no roads ". The hotel is some distance from the main tourist area , but there is a bus stop close by that runs to the town from Steenwyk. The room was lovely . The owner is a lovely woman and was helpful. Breakfast was also nice. No complaints.

We booked a boat and picnic lunch to experience the beauty of the city of Giethoorn...what we experienced was an incredible afternoon of many pleasurable experiences...the picnic lunch for the boat tour was all inclusive which did include champagne....we returned to a high tea with many delightful treats...a must!

This was to be our last stop in our Benelux-Champagne-Rhine road trip which coincided with my birthday. Therefore my wife had secretly arrange for us to stay 2 nights in a deluxe double room and had requested a cake as part of our dinner on the first night. We were really impressed by the deluxe room, not having realised beforehand... More

I really wanted to love this hotel, but.... The owner Rueli was lovely, the village is charming however the rooms in the main building are tiny and have no soundproofing at all. You will be kept awake by people in the other rooms. I believe that the rooms in the canal annex and the old village are much better. Also... More

A family run hotel offering either rooms in the main building or in a detached motel style building. Our room in the detached section was a comfortable and very clean. An open bathroom (with a blind for privacy) can add to the perceived size of the room. The heating system was a little noisy but as most travelers will visit... More

Staying at this hotel was such an lovely and relaxing experience. We enjoyed complementary drinks on arrival. We stayed in a canal room in a newly built section of the hotel. It was a beautiful room with a private seating area outside next to the canal. The room has an open planned design which had large glass sliding doors which... More

Out stay was really great. People was really friendly. Rooms are small....but it seems that is a Holland thing. Thanks for the free upgrade. The nespresso in the room are a nice touch. Wish I could stay longer

We stayed a weekend here with some friends. We got the "Discover Giethoorn" package including fluisterboot (whisper boat) rental, picnic, welcome drinks, and full dinner for Saturday. The dinner was very, very good as well. Much better than most Dutch restaurants I've been to! The whole package was overall FANTASTIC; a great value for the money spent. The service of... More

This is a small charming hotel located in a very quiet and chill area. The rooms are very cute (we had a painting with a cow on the wall) and the view is truly nice. We opted for a package which included breakfast, dinner and the rental of a boat for a whole day. Food was wonderful! Dinner was a... More

The staff were absolutely excellent and faultless throughout, on arrival we were greeted with complimentary champagne and cakes, and when we left the staff printed us out a train timetable for us to get back to the Hook of Holland. We were lucky to get a room in the farmhouse, which was a 5 or 10 minute walk from the... More
