The room was great and we did enjoy the nice balcony on the water front, which was great for a morning coffee. The hotel is situated in the quiet part of Giethoorn, which we actually really appreciated. The breakfast is included and offers a great selection of fresh food, and we could actually pack our lunch for our day hike for free, which does not happen very often. The best part however was the check in, the receptionist was really friendly and took her time to explain us everything, and had a small bottle of proseco ready for us (after we enjoyed a great cup of coffee). She is the best, she puts the phrase gust friendliness in practice :-) . i would go to this hotel again if i am in the area.
The room was lovely and cosy and the breakfast was very good! The staff were very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views and a great walking path close by. We will definitely be back in Summer, but the rain didn't ruin the weekend.
A friend and I had the pleasure of staying here last month. What a wonderful experience. The owners and staff were delightful and so very helpful. The location of s great and while the accommodations are by no means fancy, I’d definitely stay here again just to experience the excellent hospitality!
My boyrfriend, 1,5 year old son and myself drove from Copenhagen to Giethoorn and would stay at this hotel for three nights. We arrived around 17 o'clock and my son was hungry, so the chef quickly made him a pastadish. We had booked with breakfast and dinner inclusive, but sadly the both of us took turns in feeling ill, so we only had 1/2 of the dinners. However, we ordered roomservice once and every night the chef made an oatmeal we could keep outside to give our son in the morning. (he wakes up at 6 o'clock and breakfast was not until 8.30). There is a play kitchen in the dining area, where my son also enjoyed playing. When we had the dinner, it was amazing, very tasty. The people at work were very friendly and kind to all of us. The hotel is located near the old Giethoorn which is way more peaceful than "down town Giethoorn" and we enjoyed taking walks among the beautiful houses and canals. And the neighbours to the hotel is a field with sheep, so lovely! I will say this, the room we had was not big and there was no door between bathroom and bedroom, so it is a good thing that we knew eachother well beforehand. When we arrived back home in Denmark, we found out that we ha forgotten our kids favorite teddy. We contacted the hotel again and just this morning I recived it in the mail. I definetly recommend this hotel.…
Don't stay we have had a terrible experience. No one seems in charge of the hotel. We were waiting to speak to someone responsible as no one knew what to do. Even though booking was confirmed they could not find it. Steep Stairs to bedroom not suitable for over 50. Very small room. Skwicky saloon doors to bathroom. Very small shower room. Man can not Stand. Extremely slow internet or non existent Internet. Good location.
