From the moment you walk in then you know that this is a hotel that is different. The sweet and coffee shop sets the scene for somewhere that is quirky and interesting. The room itself was comfortable with a nice lounge area as well as a nice bed.
Well placed for the town with a nice restaurant just down the lane.
It was a delightful few days, we would return.
Having read such glowing reviews we booked our stay with high expectations. It was all pleasantly ok but not quiet as charming as we hoped - the room was a little small and cramped, the little inhouse museum was closed and as breakfast was an extra charge all in all it was not a cheap price for a two star stay. Location was good.
The hotel itself just isn’t my thing. It is all very quaint with old furniture and I have to be honest I prefer something more modern.
The room was very quite. The only thing you hear are the church bells. The bed and pillows however we very soft. Probably too soft for my liking.
The bathroom was basic but lots of towels and toiletries.
Breakfast was traditionally Dutch and there was an endless supply of coffee.
If you like traditional you will love this.
It was also a nice touch getting a drink on arrival and a small bag of sweets when leaving.
"We stayed in the back, which was quiet. Only no airconditioning (just a fan) and it was quite a hot night"Read full review
"Have you mobile phone ready because the shop, through which the hotel is reached ,is not always open."Read full review
"The upstairs rooms have steep stairs so if mobility is an issue ask for a room downstairs. Some rooms have kitchettes and en suites. Emailing the owner Hortence is easy and she always replies."Read full review
