The Tulip in is beautifully situated a short walk from the centre of town. It's very much a business hotel with a small bar and an indifferent restaurant. There's car parking and the staff are reasonably friendly. It does feel a bit sad inside and needs a facelift. It recently changed hands to become part of the Tulip Inn group so this may be on the cards. Rooms are ok if a little bleak.
Warning - if you suffer from claustrophobia as I do don't let them book you into the underground rooms. Yes, they do really have some rooms below ground level!!!! Actually the rooms are fine but can you live without a window?

I stayed for a week at Tulip Inn, it is one of the best hotels in Hilversum. The location is very good near to the city center... The rooms are ok the bathrooms could be improved but the reat is very very good at high standards.

Basic hotel however a bit out-dated. Quiet suburb location - ideal for wandering around Hilversum. Friendly enough but they don't go out of their way; the barman the most chipper!
Room 5 - clean and beds comfortable however bathroom freezing cold despite fan heater. No mirror above dressing table so had to resort to leaning around the corner into the bathroom to use mirror when blow drying my hair. Full length mirror by the entrance door - but too dark to see as no illumination. No hair drier in the room - just ask at reception (twice!). Struggled initially to get the soap out of the dispensers - would be nicer to have the usual hotel guest bottles as only travelled with cabin luggage.
Breakfast - plenty of croissants and pastries but a limited with the hot food. Enough to eat however. Didn't have dinner so unable to comment.
Small bar area - quite pleasant to meet up with friends

We love this hotel! The staff are warm and helpful, the facilities very clean and offer all the amenities required. Breakfast is not included in the price, but is a very nice breakfast. The selling point,of seriously considering booking in the Hilversum area, is the location. It's a 10 minute walk from the train station, and main train lines connecting all over the Netherlands. It's 10 minutes to the center of town, with some great cafes and restaurants, as well as shops. Further, there's a free parking lot at the hotel. All of these aspects, and a very reasonable rate, make this one of the best places to consider if traveling in the area, or wanting a home base to explore the Netherlands by train.

I am coming since many years to the Amrâth Hotel Media Park in Hilversum. It’s such a nice hotel, small and perfectly made for people who like a private but at the same time very professional hotel. The service is simply great and the team tries everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
After a long working day you can relax at the small bar or enjoying a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant. Try the weekly special menu…it’s always a great choice!
Don’t miss the opportunity to have a drink at the terrace during summertime.
I can fully recommend the hotel!

A terrible experience! I was given an apartment without my consent, a five minute walk from main building with no offer of help for my baggage and in pouring rain. Dark, damp room, wifi and phone not working, unfriendly staff. Never again. Amrath Lappershoek much better!

This is a non friendly non serviceminded staff. Been a Long time since I ever hade to experience a place this bad. And freezing Cold rooms. Our room cards didnt work and this was apparently our fault. Amazing

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tulip Inn. The staff were very helpful, our room was very nice and very clean. We were in the room at the front on the first floor. The location is really convenience. Just a ten minute walk from the center and railway station.

A terrible experience all round, from start to finish, with this hotel. I've travelled quite a bit in over 30 years, for business and pleasure, and I'd stay anywhere but here. Just awful.
