Hotel was a little hard to find even when right in front of it. Entrance was up lots of stairs or drive up that looked like a service entrance. Once in, it was s great place to stay. Location near city center, easily walkable or right on bus line. Also a short drive to several places including The Keukenhof Gardens....

We stayed here for a week during a trip to see the tulips in bloom. Great staff. Very nice room. We paid for an upgraded room in the remodeled section. Paid an "up charge" of 25 euros per night. Got a large spacious room. It had two comfortable easy chairs which were great for reading! No personal input on the...

As a bargain hotel, this place rocks! It is exceptionally clean, the staff are friendly and attentive, and it's a mere 17 minute drive from the airport (with free parking) and a mere 15 minute walk from the center of Haarlem (which is a small, beautiful city, with a lot to see: I highly recommend the Frans Hals Museum). This...

Quite a long stay here earlier in the year and was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is well situated in Haarlem, a small bit of a walk in to town... about 10 minutes. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice... Spacious and clean, modern and had everything I needed (The coffee maker in the room...

My girlfriend and I were originally booked for the Amrath Grand Hotel within the city center of Haarlem, but were rebooked for our first night due to construction and stayed at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised that this hotel made every best effort to make an otherwise not pleasant situation very pleasant. The service was impeccable and helped us...

We had a good experience at this hotel. Clean, friendly, conveniently located near the bus. If you're wanting to to to Amsterdam, prepare to spend some money on transportation. The buses don't run all night so make sure you check the schedule if you end up in Amsterdam after last bus, a Taxi will cost you 100 euro! Breakfast is...

We were offered an upgrade from economy to comfort for €15, wow, sheer luxury, fantastic refurbished rooms, great staff, great bar and a buffet breakfast with a massive choice - highly recommended and within easy travelling distance from Amsterdam (Haarlem is beautiful too)

We were visiting Amsterdam, but arriving by car. The Van der Valk Hotel provided the perfect solution. It was huge, comfortable with lots of amenities, and provided free parking. We were able to catch a bus to the train station easily to make the quick trip to Amsterdam. But, the amazing thing was, we ended up loving Haarlem too! It...
