The location is great, behind the church which is on the main square. In the rooms, the carpet is old and dingy and the sheet was not big enough to fit the mattress so it kept coming off and there wasn't a mattress pad which was bothersome and unhygienic. Water pressure in the shower was terrible. The staff was friendly... More

The best thing about this hotel was its location. Haarlem is a lovely town and a great alternative to Amsterdam for a change. Its also quick and easy to get to Amsterdam from here. The hotel was a little dated and the rooms clean but nothing special. The bed was hard and uncomfortable as were the pillows. The staff however,... More

We stayed for two nights at this very central hotel (about 15 minutes walk from the station). Immediately outside is the cathedral and centre of this charming town. Our room was at the rear of the hotel and thus quiet. It was clean and had an amazing shower. The beds however were not that comfortable and nor were the pillows.... More

Upside of staying at this hotel is it's truly excellent location in Haarlem. It is centrally located in the pedestrian only area of the city near the Grote Kerk and the Market. We were unaware the hotel was not accessible by car which caused us some serious confusion upon arrival. We ended up parking at the train station and getting... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 4nights and thought it was lovely. It is very quirky in the main hall but it works, and makes a nice change to the modern and mininal hotels... Our room had a lovely big four poster bed and all antique furniture, it had loads of character...the unsuite was basic but nice and clean.... More

Lets start with the positives, this hotel is placed SMACK in the middle of Haarlem center, when you leave the reception you are there! The Grote Kerk, the Market Square, the shopping street, and around the corner you have the lovely Spaarne river, with nice little cafe's and boats sailing by. The train station is within walking distance, and the... More

Just OK, was clean enough, just a place to crash when you weren't out and about. It is in such a beautiful area. The guy at the front desk was really nice and wacky. Would recommend for people on a budget.

We stayed here for one night, and liked it. We most appreciated the central location - the hotel is within walking distance of the main museums, the tourist office (VVV) and the railway station, and is surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops. Our room was on the 2nd floor, on the street side. Nevertheless it was quiet, even on the... More

The monumental Ambassador City Centre Hotel is located in the historic heart of the city of Haarlem facing the St. Bavo Church. For city trippers this friendly hotel is an excellent choice. From the hotel, all the fun and interesting attractions can be easily reached. The train station is only a five-minute walk from the hotel. All rooms in the Ambassador City Centre Hotel*** are non-smoking. The stylish rooms are all marked by their unique interiors. A number of rooms also have a gorgeous view of the St. Bavo Church. The other rooms are at the rear of the hotel where you can rest peacefully in the heart of the city. We recommend parking in parking garage 'Appelaar' about 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel offers all facilities you need for a weekend away or a long stay, for a leisure or a business trip.
