I have copied this from a review I sent directly to the hotel. Whilst I know public reviews are what are valuable to you (I will of course do this), I wanted to add the personal touch of contacting you directly. I travel a lot (or I did before this pandemic !) for both work and pleasure. Zoku is by far the most pleasurable hotel I have stayed in. I have stayed twice now and unfortunately both times have been during the pandemic but this has not impacted my stay in any way at all. You could line up every hotel in Amsterdam and I would choose Zoku every single time. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and happy, the food is perfect (the lunches are incredible….please give your kitchen team a big pat on the back) and the COVID measures you have in place are sensible but not overstated. It was good to feel safe but not worried. And good to see everybody abiding by the regulations. The rooms are perfect – the mezzanine bedroom is a fabulous concept as is the cleaning pantry and the almost everything store. But finally to the staff….to be cheerfully welcomed every single time I entered floor 6 or every time I called one of the team just brightened the day in these challenging times. Likewise the cleaners – I am sure they are fabulous cleaners but what a happy bunch they are also. Made me smile every time I saw them,. Special thanks to Ava who was just a ray of sunshine each and every time we had contact. What an asset you have there. But this does not distract from the other staff – each and every one of them represents your hotel in the best possible manner and spreads the Zoku concept as it should. I will be checking out of room 310 tonight (I may be back – there is a possibility my flight back to work in Africa will be cancelled) and will look forward to the day I can return. Hopefully with COVID under control and I will finally get to have a beer on your delightful terrace, rather than taking back to my room Thanks again to the whole team…
I've stayed at Zoku many times over the years and it's the perfect spot for remote working travellers. The design of the loft apartments and also the public, shared social spaces is fantastic. You feel very serene, productive and creative when you're there. The staff are very kind and accommodating too.
It's such a great, inspiring place to work from. Especially while working from home all the time, it is an amazing place to escape. I work there often with one colleague and we really get things done there.
I've been using Zoku's WorkLoft as retreats and they couldn't have been greater. The team is the most accomodating team, the food is of the highest quality and the rooms are extraordinary. As a member, one thing that always struck me as amazing was the pace at which Zoku tests new concepts and ideas. I recommend Zoku if you're looking for a vibrant, inspiring place for your stay that's more than just a hotel.
Just what I need for a stay: everything is clean, no useless stuff, everywhere it is quit, gentle staff, best breakfast chef ever. I worked, I walked in the city, had a huge mug of tony chocolony's hot chocolate and a TV night.
