With its bold presence in Amsterdam’s A’DAM Tower, Sir Adam resonates with the vibrant energy of the building’s present occupants, including MassiveMusic, ID&T and Gibson. It’s just behind the city’s Central Station and overlooks the IJ River. Make sure to check out the rooftop for 360-degree views of the city. Rooms & Suites The rooms at Sir Adam were designed with more than sleep in mind, though when it’s time to lay your head, you’ll be doing so on crisp 300-thread-count linens and a pillow from our Sir pillow menu. THE HUB It’s the creative locals and visitors who make The Hub one of Amsterdam’s favorite destinations for quality conversation, a quality beer and quality music. THE BUTCHER SOCIAL CLUB Sir Adam’s in-house destination for those four important B’s that bring bon vivants together—burgers, booze, beer, breakfast—is THE BUTCHER Social Club.

My boyfriend and I visited on new year’s eve for the gorgeous views. However, our 180 degrees view was pointed towards the museum rather than the city. They did not have another room with 180 degrees of city view, so we decided to switch to a cheaper room which did have a nice city view. Because we switched to a cheaper room we had to take the breakfast buffet which was really bad, like we expected, that is why we did not include the breakfast in our booking in the first place. The room itself en the views were lovely and the staff was really helpful and understanding. But if you ask over 200 euros for a room I expect the absolute best and this was not it. The shower was terrible, the lights did not work properly and we did not get offered anything extra when we changed to a cheaper room. They also forgot a part of our breakfast order. Lastly there was something weird with their email system. The day we were leaving I got an email saying how they were looking forward to our stay and I just got an email telling us about how checkout works, even though check out was 3 days ago? Overall a very underwhelming experience for such an expensive hotel. It is nice to go there once for the views, but honestly for this price you can also go to the okura and I would recommend that.

I'm travelling quite a lot for business so when I'm checking a hotel for private purpose I always choose one a bit unusual. This one didn't disappoint us at all. Very funky with LP player in the room, guitar on the wall, great design even if the rooms are not that big but definitely big enough. We particularly enjoyed the karaoke lift but more important the kindness of the staff both hotel and restaurant (dedicated review of the Butcher). Also very well located. 5 min from the central station via free ferry which the kids really enjoyed. Finally we would like to warmly thank the reception staff who put a very sweet 'mouse' message on the kids room mirror :)
