We were at the roof top room. The stair is narrow and the room does not have enough light. We have no hot water for bath or shower. Wifi is very weak. It is near the station but the whole place makes us scared when we first arrived.

The worst experience in my life. Why b&b anyway? We had No breakfast at all. Also it was freezing, the windows were broken with no heat. The wi-fi wasn't working as well. We payed 380€ for 3 nights with the discount (that's what she said). Never anymore.

We stated here for two nights while on a quick visit to Amsterdam. Yes the stairs are steep ( space in Amsterdam is limited, especially in the centre) and the rooms are small (again space limited) but it was perfectly clean, the room had tv ( not that we watched it) and a kettle with a selection of tea and...

The pictures set up expectations of what you will get that never materialize. You have to look hard for the door that allows you in because it isn't well marked at all. It is wise to let them know when you expect to arise because you have to ring the door bell and I suspect there is someone to let...

Me and my friends paid €260 to essentially experience the feeling of being homeless. Maggy should pay you money for staying here. We were greeted rudely - presumably because she's in dismay about how terrible the place is - and told to climb an almost completely vertical staircase to the top floor. Maggy didn't show us our room, she just...

For the price we paid I didn't expect much but I was massively impressed!! Stunning views over the square. Hygiene is brilliant along with the breakfast (especially the woman who delivers it) would highly recommend to anyone. Will come again

It's a cheap hotel right outside the train station and close to the everything you need. With shops just round the corner and the red light district a 5 minute walk away the price you pay isn't too bad. The extra cleaning charge is a bit steep and not mentioned at the time you book, especially when the rooms aren't...

I booked this "bed&breakfast" at last minute I haven't read the reviews properly before I booked it. They asked for cleaning fee of 35 euro, we stayed only for 1 night. The room was not clean at all, dusty. This place is labeled as b&b, the breakfast that they offer is a kettle in the room( which ours was covered...

I've stayed in a lot of hostels in Europe and Asia and was prepared for this to not be the nicest place, but it was worse than expected. The payment was cash only, which was a surprise to me, and Maggy required that my friend and I immediately go to an ATM after just arriving from an overnight flight from...

Stayed here for one night with my girlfriend, and the owner has clearly been reading the reviews about how dirty the hotel is as our room had an overpowering smell of bleach. We were stung for an extra €35 for a "cleaning charge" on top of the price of the room, which is mandatory. It is incredibly difficult to find,...

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
