We love hostels because of their communal feel and hotels because of their privacy. At CityHub, we combined the two: more than enough ways to mingle AND your very own, private cabin. We call those cabins Hubs.

So I arrived pretty late! The guy working on reception was really informative and friendly. Check in was a breeze.. Night 1.. I arrived at 23:40, I checked in. Dumped my stuff and found the nearest coffee shop, which was 2 streets over called millennium. Opens until midnight. I walked back along to the pod and unpacked my things. The room - it was a great size for me on my own although can imagine it could feel slight small for 2 ppl with luggage. The bed was super comfy, I opted for an upper pod. Access the bed was great unpacked all my stuff which fitted comfortably. You can download an app to control the lights and apparently the temperature. Which was pretty cool!! The bathroom facility - both toilets and showers were good, clean, mirrors to do hair and makeup. I had no complaints! You are provided with a bathrobe and ample towels. If you need flip flops for the showers, you can buy bathroom Stuff, out another vending machine which is next to the entrance of the bathroom facilities. Access - you are giving a wristband to access areas. The front door, pod area and vending machines. I had no issues with this! Billed on checkout. The area - is within walking distance to some really cool cafes, wine bars, foodhallen and jordaan. Finding snacks like sandwich’s on the go can be a struggle but Lidl is near overtoom which I found by accident on my way to vondelpark. Make sure you plan out in advance what you plan to do on arrival to map out routes Amsterdam is a big place and can easily rack up 20k steps + Second time in this city and 100% would stay here again next time I come back.

The staff at CityHub were very lovely, friendly and approachable. The rooms and facilities were very clean and exactly what you expect when you book. Checking in was really easy and we were allowed to store our bags before check in and after check out. The room was small which is expected and perhaps a bit squished for us if we were to stay longer than a night but that's just our preference. You can control the music and lights in the hub using your phone which was cool. The toilets and showers were very clean and nicely decorated. They have a lovely communal space where you can use the bar and seating area.

I’ll start with the staff. Every single member we met treated us like old friends, yet remaining professional at all times. Always a friendly smile, always willing to help in any way they can. I’ve never witnessed customer service like it, just fantastic. Secondly, the location is brilliant. 5 min walk from the tram to get into the centre, straight forward, right opposite and have cooperation with the Breakfast Club which, is also amazing. The cleanliness of the pods, toilets, showers and communal area was 10/10. Fresh towels were readily available and because my partner and I are hot sleepers we needed a fan - within minutes of request it was outside our door. The showers are waterfall showers, an actual pleasure to use. We’re avid campers so seen some real nasty ones in our time ;-) there were hair dryers and shampoo/ body wash available for everyone. I cannot fault it. We are going to return. We loved every second of it and have already recommended it to work colleagues and friends!

Great concept. The team here are fantastic and always happy to help. The beds are super comfortable and spacious. The communal area is great and very comfortable to relax in. They have beers on tap, wines, spirits and a vending machine with a great selection. Everything can be kid for with the two of your wristband which gives you access to CityHub and your pod. Location is great. You’ve got The Breakfast Club across the road which is great and Food Hallen next door which is Amsterdam’s answer to Boxpark. This will now be my go-to spot when in the Netherlands for work or pleasure, wish it was available throughout the world!

We had a lower capsule and the soundproof interior is definitely good. The shared bathroom was often cleaned and always smelt nice. They also provide towels and hair dryers. We were there on Saturday and there was special offer buy one cocktail get another free and you make your own cocktail. It was fun experience and also nice atmosphere.

We had a great experience sleeping in a hub! It was really cozy and well designed in every detail! Everything was clean and organized and offers all the necessary amenities for a great stay. If you are worried with shared showers, I wouldn't worry, they are quite organized, they thought about all the small (important) details, as the places to keep your clothes and shoes dry while you shower. Inside the hub you can control the lights and music through your smartphone. At the bar, you simply scan your band and can prepare your own drink. All the staff were more than kind and helpful. It is a great hotel to spend the night if you intend to explore the city during the day.

If you are travelling solo or with a partner that's the place for you. It's a futuristic hostel where everything automated. I hesitated about shared bathrooms but they were as clean as a hotel room. Staff was really helpful with the app on the mobile. Whenever you ask for a place to go they just mark on the map for you and you can just navigate yourself. Beds were comfy. Hubs are not that small as you think it's enough for 2 person since young people only coming to the hotel to sleep, so that much space was enough for me. And also the location was great. Vondelpark was at 10 minutes walking distance. A lot of coffeeshops, cafés, breakfast saloons, supermarkets, bazaar they all just next door. I didn't even need a bike since i could walk everywhere without getting tired. Thank you for the cozy welcome.

After a problem with my pay I emailed cityhub and they got back to me and allowed me arrange payment. We then arrived to I think was tim who was all smiles and really nice and helpful about the surrounding coffee shops and trams we could catch. Everything is easy to buy in cityhub with a quick swipe of your wristband that's also your room key. Rooms are comfortable and fits 2 people easily. We stayed in a top room and it was really quiet even though we were room 1.
