Travelers' Choice
We love hostels because of their communal feel and hotels because of their privacy. At CityHub, we combined the two: more than enough ways to mingle AND your very own, private cabin. We call those cabins Hubs.

If you are travelling solo or with a partner that's the place for you. It's a futuristic hostel where everything automated. I hesitated about shared bathrooms but they were as clean as a hotel room. Staff was really helpful with the app on the mobile. Whenever you ask for a place to go they just mark on the map for you and you can just navigate yourself. Beds were comfy. Hubs are not that small as you think it's enough for 2 person since young people only coming to the hotel to sleep, so that much space was enough for me. And also the location was great. Vondelpark was at 10 minutes walking distance. A lot of coffeeshops, cafés, breakfast saloons, supermarkets, bazaar they all just next door. I didn't even need a bike since i could walk everywhere without getting tired. Thank you for the cozy welcome.

Room Tip: Hubs on bottom more comfortable imo and the feeling of being on the ground somewhat helped me...

Property's Favorite Review
We stayed here for five nights and had a great experience! Check in was smooth and you get a wristband which is your room key. You can also scan the wristband to purchase drinks/snacks from the vending machine and serve yourself drinks from the bar. It was convenient to wear this around our wrists the whole trip so we didn’t accidentally lose our key. The bed was large enough to sleep two people comfortably. It did get tight with our luggage (one large checked bag, one smaller carry on, and one backpack) but it was manageable. The hubs are not sound proof at all and we talked in a hushed whisper the whole time. During the week this was fine because people were courteous about the noise but it can get noisy on the weekend, especially with the doors opening and closing. There’s an app that you download which controls the lights which was fun to play around with. One feature on the app is a “silent alarm” where the lights in your hub turn on at a time that you specify. This was really cool and effective, and was a silent way to wake up early without waking up our neighbors. The bathrooms are clean but shower shoes are a must - they sell shower shoes if you forget them. You are supplied robes which are nice for walking between your hub and the showers. Inside each shower stall there is shampoo and body wash, and a little shelf where you can put some toiletries. There are also two hooks for your robe and towel. The portable WiFi they loan you is a huge perk of staying here! The WiFi was fast and the charge lasted about five hours. The CityHub is located a two minute walk from a giant food hall which had a bunch of food from different cultures and drinks. It’s also located three minutes away from the bus station. If you’re expecting a roomy hotel with a private bathroom, don’t book here. But if you’re looking for a place just to sleep and get ready, definitely give this place a try! It was a really fun, unique, “high-tech” experience and I would stay in a CityHub again.

After a problem with my pay I emailed cityhub and they got back to me and allowed me arrange payment. We then arrived to I think was tim who was all smiles and really nice and helpful about the surrounding coffee shops and trams we could catch. Everything is easy to buy in cityhub with a quick swipe of your wristband that's also your room key. Rooms are comfortable and fits 2 people easily. We stayed in a top room and it was really quiet even though we were room 1.

I had a good stay at CityHub. Check in was super smooth and I was even able to check in early due to some no shows. The wristband was amazing because it allowed access to the hub and was your form of payment for the self serve bar & espresso machine. As for my hub it was fine. Nothing special. The bed was comfortable and large but I did have some stray hairs on my pillows and bedding. The robes were a nice touch as well. I only had two backpacks and found space to be somewhat of an issue so if I had more luggage or a second person with me. As for the bathrooms & showers. They were clean enough and I never had an issue finding an available stall. I wish I had brought shower shoes though, but I didn’t want to buy the flip flops from the vending machine since I was only staying one night. Hopefully I don’t get anything from the shower floors! So far so good. Overall, a decent stay. I would consider staying here again if I needed somewhere to stay for one, maybe two nights. I don’t think I could deal with the small space for much longer than that. I felt a little claustrophobic at times.
