Nice room but it was so cold. Outside temp in the room!! Freezing...! and it took the hotel 10 hours to fix the AC (they did it after 4 complaints during the whole first day) I would like to get heated at the spa - but it wad fully booked cause you have to book before you arrive i found out Hotel bar at the 6. floor was having events both nights, and closed to hotel guests for having a drink. The lighting system in the room was out of order, and the lights in the closet could not be turned off. After getting heat I had to sleep with the lights on. The second day I complained about the lights. It was fixed by setting up plastic tape on the panels!! W Amsterdam are not worth the money. Service are truly unpersonal and I Would never recommand the hotel to anyone or come back.

I stayed in W Amsterdam from early November 2023 and just checked out today. The location of the hotel is good as many attractions are within walking distance. The room was large and generally well maintained. However the service is not up to standard we expect from a W hotel. The incident arose from us asking the concierge for directions. Firstly, the concierge pointed me to the wrong place for my restaurant (which we have booked and much anticipated as one of the main attraction in our stay) and so my wife and I missed the booking. This cost me precious little time we had and transportation money. Secondly, after we had complained about the incident, the staff never proactively provided information and I had to follow up with them repetitively for updates of my requests. Thirdly, I reminded them several times including the day before to provide me with a cup of takeaway coffee as I had to check out early this morning. The staff although was very positive and replied “yes yes yes”, ultimately there was no coffee given to us. Fourthly, I called them again one day before (first request made 2 days before) to prepare my breakfast box by 7:00am to be available at the front desk when I check out. However when I was at the front desk at the designated time, I had to remind them of the breakfast which was delivered to me 15 minutes later after my requested time. In short, the service provided was surprisingly poor and not up to standard which is quite incompatible to its great location and good room. Also for an international hotel, very lacking. I hope this feedback provide information for improvements.

The customer service is completely non-existent. Every single request requires at least two phone calls, but usually three, and a few times four calls. I to call twice for them to send an electrician because the room is fully automated: meaning the blinds and everything are not manual and our room has multiple outages while we were there. Again, four calls for them to send adapter, four calls for more water, everything. Every time they say “of course, I’ll do that now!” And then a whole day would go by. They don’t mean anything they say, empty words. It’s also very gross, they don’t collect food when you’re done with room service, even though they say they will, so many rooms have rotting food out in the hallway. One bag we saw was there the whole four days we were there. We called four times over two days about our own food, and they say “we will be right there!” But not one comes. Rooms and hallways are full of art of naked people and inappropriate sayings in attempt to be cool. The front desk people are really rude, perhaps it is the culture but rolling your eyes at customers when they ask simple questions like “how do I get to the spa?” Is not ok. The gym is nice though, but you have to cross the street to another building. This is the kind of hotel that prides itself in being techy, but they really haven’t worked out the issues yet. When we arrived they couldn’t make us keys so the whole first day we weren’t able to go freely in and out of the room without an escort. Also look at this chicken Caesar salad that cost 34 euros.

Wow! What great hotel experience! Visited Amsterdam for three nights with my wife and daughter. The room was great and far exceeded our expectations. Staff was also top notch and quick to answer to our requests. The lounge upstairs is awesome with great drinks and views! W Amsterdam is central to everything and Amsterdam is a great walking city! We asked for a cot for my daughter and it was delivered upon arrival. The room was very large and comfortable for the three us. Did I mention the location? We will definitely stay here when visiting Amsterdam!

The room itself is really nice and spacious. Check- in with Julian was efficient and informative. Nevertheless, you need to pre-book to use the pool and saunas, which was only communicated upon arrival. Unfortunately there was no available time slot throughout our stay, which was quite upsetting.

We got a great room on the canal and were very pleased. It is more modern than most but very comfortable and the service was great. Great restaurants and bars on premises with the same high quality service. Location was really pretty perfect. Walkable to everything.

Goodmorning, everybody needs a second chance so , after the first bad experience in june we tried again. The answer i got from management was: we can do better let us show it! The terras is not that big and not that crowed yesterday but it took more than 20 minutes of waiving and trying to attract attention of the staf to take our order. They passed by our table time and again looking over and through us. The drinks were not presented in front of us but placed in the middle of the table sort of do it yourself! This is not the cheapest place in Amsterdam but your staff is absolutely not up to standard it should be. Pity because the experence should be more than the view.

The brunch at Mr Porter and the manager Roxana is very accommodating. It’s a buffet and ala carte brunch at the. Rooftop restaurant . We stayed at the hotel and went one day to Ducchess for breakfast (Michelin Star restaurant later on in the day) and to Mr Porter the next day. Spa is well known with steam, sauna and pool The room was great (3 friends) and we got a suite with king bed and an extra bed. Amazing trip

It’s 10:47pm. Our fancy electronic lights are malfunctioning & we have been waiting for maintenance to come figure out how to get the closet light to turn off. It shines thru the glass shower into our bed. Can’t get Netflix. Spoke to 3 people over 2 nights. You need to mirror phone but it doesn’t work. Friends staying at different hotel joined us for an afternoon drink. We asked to sit outside & 3 servers standing together told us NO, it was too cold. 10 minutes later they walked 2 other parties outside and served them. We sat at a counter and could not talk to each other. Elevators were broken earlier today & again tonight. The hall to our room is filled with storage carts. Awful!! Feels like a warehouse. With the exception of Jorden who actually called us back, every customer staff member has been rude. My husband has Lifetime Titanium Elite status. Not that they care or even know what it means. Just stayed at The Barcelona Edition. Five star service & staff. The W is a horrible contrast.
