WestViolet B&B is the ideal place to stay in Amsterdam. About 1km from Dam square and just down the road from the Anne Frank House it is on a little pedestrian street in a lovely quiet area. The two rooms are large with comfortable beds, great showers and a lovely outside seating area. The rooms both have fridges too. You... More

If you ever travel to Amsterdam, WestViolet is the place to stay. It is a two-bedroom B&B with private bathrooms and since we were traveling with another couple it was the perfect setup. The location is not directly on a tram line but the walk to it is very short. We opted to walk to all the major attractions. Frank,... More

this b and b is in a very pretty and glamorous part of town. The groundfloor room is beautiful, spaceous and very comfortable. Frank is very good with interiors and is an incredible and generous host. Your breakfast sets you up for the day and everything you could want for a continental is provided. He gets very booked up but... More

Great B&B- rooms were lovely and spacious! Can't find anything to fault at all! WestViolet was perfect for our stay in Amsterdam. Frank is very welcoming and gave us some fantastic restaurant and bar recommendations! Would definitely recommend and stay again for future visits to Amsterdam!

Tucked away in the blissfully quiet residential area of Joordan, but a few minutes walk to the canal , Anne Frank's House, the tram stop and the wonders of Amsterdam, this 2 room charming boutique B& B is perfect. Frank and Andre are wonderful, friendly hosts and obviously take great pride in what they do. The first floor room was... More

Stayed on the 2nd Floor Room. Very cozy, clean and organized. All essentials available. Wonderful, friendly and flexible host (Mr. Frank). Allowed us to cook in his kitchen! My wife cooked for him and we had dinner together. Will definitely stay here again if we're visiting Amsterdam again in the future.

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved every minute of it. The B & B is excellent and our room was spacious with an excellent (huge) bed and a very good bathroom. We had a small balcony also. It is in the lovely and quiet Jordaan area near the canals and was a fabulous place to base ourselves to... More

We booked via the web site for a four night stay. We received a quick and helpful reply with directions to the B and B, and recommended restaurants in the area. We selected the ground floor room and paid 115 E per night plus tax. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Andre who cheerfully informed us of all the... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
