Ideal for a solo traveller - bike storage cage which the receptionist Houda - or Ismael - kindly travels down in the lift to unlock. Reception couldn't be more helpful and useful for local knowledge. The hotel reception is on the 8th floor of a block so you get a great view from the restaurant and from the bedroom. Breakfast is beautifully laid with fresh orange juice out and the usual range of breads. Good expresso coffee maker in room, excellent modern shower and minimum noise from guests, you can open the window and look out on the view across to Amsterdam which is 15 minutes on a tram right into the centre. Outside the block are three supermarkets, a grill bar/restaurant and bike hire. I felt like I was in my own private penthouse.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Although it is not in city centre, it takes around 12-15mins on tram (#26) to city only and it runs every few minutes.

The drinks in the fridge are free including 2 bottles of Heineken beer, very nice!

The shower cube doesn’t have a door or step so water might splash all over the bathroom.

The hotel is in residential building so it has limited rooms only, but room rate is very valuable! Highly recommended

The location is good - 10 mins on Tram from just outside the hotel right into the centre( we bought a 3 day tram pass for around £16) The hotel reception is clean and offers tea/coffee/water & fruit complimentary. The staff are mainly pleasant - we had one not so happy receptionist that was not at all helpful and no apology for this. However, I was lucky as i dealt with Famke, she helped sort any issues and was so lovely and helpful - a credit !
We had a Deluxe double, clean but very small. Bathroom really clean and a lovely shower! Some rooms are hard to find and there could me more directions. Rooms can be a bit off smelling at times, not sure why. There is a building next door under construction which makes it look a bit tatty but the hotel is still accessible.
Be aware that there is a Tax of around £23 pp when you arrive at hotel and they take £100 per room deposit. Hoping mine arrives back on my card soon !
Overall, I would stay here again as really straightforward to get in to centre and a few shops and eateries locally too, staff friendly and it is clean.

This is a fantastic hotel to stay in if you are coming to Amsterdam for a few days.i spent 2 nights here.Great transport from the centre to the hotel check in was great.the staff are all so welcoming, helpful and just can not do enough for you.

I explained to the hotel a few days before that we would be arriving quite early, they had a room ready for us fantastic service. The hotel offer free coffee and teas in the lobby and the coffee machine gives such a great proper cup of coffee.

I had a superior room lovely view to Amsterdam rooms so clean and tidy beds are so so comfortable and the mini bar is just such a lovely gesture. I can not recommend this hotel enough.I will always come back here now when I visit Amsterdam thank u Amadi you have made us feel very welcome.

I stayed in room 816 (single room). The building contains residential apartments. The 8th and 7th floor are the hotel. Don't be shocked at the ground floor lift area as it looks like the ghetto but it's nice upstairs. The room was small but clean and nice view. The cleaners were very good, they came everyday with towels. Unfortunately the towels smelt like cod liver oil. The bathroom smelled like a sewer even the public toilets by reception smelled like that. Maybe a plumbing problem? The location was very good 12-15 minutes from Amsterdam Central on the 26 tram and close to local grocery shops. They charge city tax and if you call before hand, they can reduce security deposit to €50. I paid in cash and asked for cash back when I checked out. I did this to avoid a long wait for it to be refunded to my card.

Me and my friend both stayed here from 1st August to the 4th August. The service was impeccable and staff were always very helpful. We booked a single room with two single beds in and while it was cramped it was perfectly sized and priced for us as we only needed a place to eat, drink tea, shower and sleep.

Tram is five min walk up the road on your right - tickets you buy from GVB app to be scanned on tram but no one ever checks it. You can buy a several day pass on the app which works on train tram and buses and it’s approx £20. Took only ten minutes to 15 minutes to get to Amsterdam city centre on the tram and I was immediately greeted by some very helpful individuals who pointed me in the direction of the nearest coffee shops.

Everyone mostly speaks English in the centre but as you venture deeper you’ll notice more people speaking in Dutch.

This hotel is not drug friendly so you need to go outside for cigarettes, joints, blunts or vapes if that’s your thing. We only really partook within coffee shops.

Coffee shops I’d recommend are 420cafe and the one directly opposite, De Kroon. If you’re a herbal vaper then look no further than Blue Bird coffeeshop they have volcanos for you to use provided you pay a €10 deposit.

I would like to come here again in the following year but would like to book two rooms next time (only because I’m told I snore very badly by my friend!) I did see notice about paying a deposit on these reviews but as explained by staff this was not a refundable deposit but €40 tax.

More info on tax

If you offer paid accommodation to visitors from outside the city, you must pay tourist tax (toeristenbelasting). This tax not only applies to hotels, apartments and campsites, but also to private individuals who use their homes for holiday rentals or bed & breakfasts.

I am compelled to share my extremely disappointing and disheartening experience with Amadi Panorama Hotel in Amsterdam, which I booked through Booking.com. Upon arrival, my travel companions and I were taken aback when the hotel demanded an additional payment of 23.12 Euros, despite Booking.com's guarantee that no extra charges would be incurred. To make matters worse, the hotel staff, particularly a dark-skinned female receptionist, exhibited an unwarranted display of hostility through hateful glances, leaving us feeling utterly perplexed and disrespected.

The unexplained extra payment and the receptionist's unfriendly demeanor have significantly marred our stay and tarnished the image of both Booking.com and the Amadi Panorama Hotel. As customers, we relied on Booking.com's commitment to transparent pricing and accurate information. However, the unexpected demand for additional payment upon check-in was not only a breach of trust but also a violation of the assurances provided by Booking.com.

Furthermore, the receptionist's hateful glances were both unprofessional and unacceptable. We were shocked by the lack of courtesy and basic respect shown by a member of the hotel's staff. Such behavior has no place in the hospitality industry, where guests should be treated with kindness and fairness regardless of their appearance or background.

I implore Booking.com to investigate this matter thoroughly and take immediate action to rectify the situation. The Amadi Panorama Hotel must be held accountable for their deceptive practices and the disrespectful behavior of their staff. Additionally, Booking.com should reevaluate its partnership with the hotel to ensure that other guests are not subjected to similar experiences in the future.

It is disheartening to see Booking.com, a platform we trusted, fail to deliver on its promises and allow such negative encounters to occur. As customers, we deserve transparency, professionalism, and a safe and respectful environment during our travels.

Regrettably, I cannot recommend Amadi Panorama Hotel or Booking.com based on this distressing experience. Travelers should exercise caution and consider alternative accommodations that prioritize customer satisfaction and uphold their promises.

We stayed in amadi for 4 nights...its located in a very nice and new neighbourhood away from the noise burning the same time the tram leading to central is only 2 minutes walking. The room size is very good, the amenities ain the rooms nd the cleanliness are flawless in addition to the nice free water and beer in the room fridge everyday. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The view from the room on the lake was amazing every morning. Would recommend this hotel if ur staying in Amsterdam.

This is a decent hotel if you are planning a city trip to Amsterdam. There is lots of construction going on around the hotel, you have to follow a diversion to the front of the hotel but only a couple minutes extra walk - well signposted. I didn’t notice any major construction noise and slept well. The Reception staff could’ve been friendlier and more welcoming. The room was of a decent size, a little rough around the edges with some slightly torn wallpaper, the open shower design meant water flooded the bathroom, but nothing a matt couldn’t solve (even if it did get soaked). The tram 26 took you from near the hotel to the city centre in 12 mins which is a major selling point. I would stay again if visiting Amsterdam

Hotel rates was reasonable , i love the location in Ijburg with great neighbourhood suitable for family with nearby supermarkets and tram just by 1 minutes walking.

The hotel decoration was good, comfort and cozy. They are generous in terms of perks, free fruits , coffee, hot choco and waters nearby the reception area and minibar offers beer and fanta for free..

The only thing that make us unhappy is the cleanliness in the room.. housekeeping pic is different every day based ln shift but has a very different standart/ result of cleaning.. in our last day, our room was not clean properly, even they not fixing the bed.. very unfortunate because this hotel has potential to be next hidden gem hotel if they are able to fix this cleanliness issue..

Yes, very easy. Once you board the tram next to the hotel heading to downtown, just ride till the last station and enter the Centraal Station (train station) Amsterdam walk through the station to the other exit side, you will be in front of the dinner cruise departure pier. If you have still quesries ask reception of the hotel. Have fun

Hi, the hotel is on the 7th?floor with lift - it is part of a block of flats. I am sure a family would be OK there - I travelled with another adult so not able to go into details. The tram stop is less than 5 minutes and there is a supermarket v near. I think the main station is abt 15 minutes - I did a detailed review on tripadvisor two or three of months ago. I thought the hotel was very good and excellent value

Of course Amsterdam Central. When you leave train station, you will notice tram 26 with IJburg direction on the top. They are going very often, every 5 minutes. Queue to buy a tram ticket is quite long, so don't worry, if you miss 2 trams 😊.

Hi from Amsterdam airport what is best transport to get to this hotel and how long does it take/what is the cost etc

sorry its taken me so long to reply! we got a taxi from the airport because we didn't know which bus to take, it was pretty expensive so i would recommend figuring out the bus or tram routes before you arrive. Every day after that we took the tram though, i think we got a three day pass for 15 euro each which was really good. The trams operate regularly until 11 pm or so
