We were a little apprehensive about staying on a boat, we had only ever done hotels. This particular weekend was full everywhere so we decided to chance it. so glad we did. The cabins are very small but it is a ship. Upon deck was a relaxed atmosphere with music and lighting all the time. There was a fridge to...

Spent 3 nights here for our honeymoon as we wanted to try something different. Such a lovely place to stay. Dave always has you smiling and Annie is lovely. Dave's mum was great and very easy to talk to. We only used our cabin to sleep in and it suited our needs completely. Will visit next time we are back...

I'm actually so shocked at the bad reviews... Dave & Anni are so nice and and not in any way rude or aggressive! Yes the cabins are small but we didn't exactly book into a ship like the titanic! They are very small but you will get over that as its very central just a 5-10 minute walk from central...

Passengership Avanti is located very centrally in Amsterdam and has a feel good factor about it. We enjoyed being able to relax on the sun deck as well as on the boat with many interesting people always coming and going. The pro's are the fact that you get breakfast included with the option of using some of the facilities to...

Great boat to stay on while you visit Amsterdam. It's docked right next to the Science Museum, so great location as you are within walking distance to everything in the city - RLD, cafes, shops, bars, everything. The owenrs are super cool and helpful, they know their way around town and what to see and do, which tours are better...

Great spot in Amsterdam. Would defo visit again. Rooms are small as you are on a boat! Good breakfast, lots of helpful advice. Nice area to sit and relax, eat your tea, free wifi. Right next to Science Centre (which has a fabulous roof terrace - must visit!)

This hostel boat is all about location / value for money. The cabins are small; but functional and beds very comfortable. There's storage in a cupboard to the side of the water basin and a little storage under the bed too. There's little room beyond this; as you'd expect on a boat ! The showers at the end of the...

Staying in Eastern Docklands (Oostelijk Havengebied)

Neighborhood Profile
Eastern Docklands (Oostelijk Havengebied)
A visit to Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands presents the opportunity to marvel at its many modern architectural masterpieces like the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam and the beguiling Python Bridge while taking in its scenic waterfront with its trendy assortment of cafés, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Here in this post-industrial (though in some parts still very much presently industrial) neighborhood, you’ll find a smart selection of cool galleries and shops as well as the kid-friendly Science Center NEMO and the National Maritime Museum.
