The hotel itself is only about a 15 minute walk from Lelylaan train station which you can catch from the airport. I wouldn't recommend the walk at night, but in daylight it was quite nice. Check in and out was really easy, all staff that we encountered were pleasant, always had a smile and asked if we were okay. We had a lovely room up on the 10th floor (there are 11) and it was so quiet and peaceful! The bed was nice and soft, the double shower was a great addition. The room was very clean and came with everything you need - hairdryer, shower gel and toiletries, mini sewing kit, iron and ironing board, nesspresso machine, that can also just provide hot water, if you're not a coffee drinker but coffee pods provided free, if you are. There is a supermarket and a lidl about 3 mins walk away from the hotel, great for stocking up on snacks the main supermarket shuts at 10pm and the lidl at 6pm, again I wouldn't recommend hanging around here in the dark, but I probably wouldn't recommend anyone do that anywhere. The tram stop is literally outside the hotel, only the number 2 stops here and it goes right to Central Station, with lots of interesting stops on the way through, so you can't get on the wrong tram or anything. Same for the way back, get a number 2 and it stops within line of sight to the hotel, so you can't go wrong. - trams, get on at the back and get off at the front or at the back on the very last door only - trams have a really helpful conductor sitting at a little desk at the back at all times who will sell you tickets or give you instructions if you're a bit worried! if you have a travel card, tap it when you get on and then when you get off tap it again. We were so impressed with our little room, fantastic extras and great views! We loved the little electronic doorbell system too, where you can easily put your room in "do not disturb" or "please clean" so that the housekeeping staff don't risk barging in when you're in your undies. All in all a brilliant place to stay for your trip to Amsterdam, friendly people and a great location, I would definitely go back!

Stayed for 3 nights. Didn’t use the hotel much as was out in Adam all the time. Hotel was nice though. Travel to Dam: Make sure you use the Tram to get into Dam. Really cheap for a 24 hour ticket. Be careful though. The tram stops at a certain time and it’s around €30.00 from Dam back to the hotel in a taxi. Travel to Airport: We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel. It cost around €50.00 which is expensive for the length of time travelling. We did travel in a nice Tesla though. On the way back we just got the tram to the train station and then a train to the airport. Really cheap and also got one last glimpse of Amsterdam.

We stayed at this XO Hotels location for the convenience to the GVB but also there is a grocery store around the corner. The lobby is very nice and staff was friendly. The rooms very clean with plenty of room. The highway ran nearby but from our 6th Floor we were not disturbed by any noise. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Such a modern hotel, great staff and the rooms were gorgeous! I wa spleasantly surprised, for the room i got i would happily of paid double what i did! Although the hotel is out of the city centre, the tram stop outside made it so easy to get to and from! It took about 20 minutes from the aiport-you need a train (about a 10 minute journey), then a tram (only for 1 stop) and then its a 5 minute walk past a lovely river. So easy to get to! I had a meal in the hotel on my first night and it was g o r g e o u s !! I had the chicken which was absolutley beauitful- the nicest hotel meal i've ever had! Check in was so easy, you do it yourself on a screen and grab a keycard, and away you go! We arrived at 11am and we checked in straght away, didnt have to wait until 2pm which was fab! The hotel was busy yet quiet and peaceful, just what you want after spending a day in the city! The Lidl around the corner was great too as it meant cheap brekfasts-croissnats, yoghurts and cereal bars etc. Free luggage room to use too which is a bonus when checked out but still got a full day until your flight. Would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in amsterdam! Will deffo stay here again when i re-visit Amsterdam. Thank you to all the staff at Xo for making my stay a great one! :)
