We stayed in this hotel as the location was convenient, the hotel staff were all lovely on our arrival but they were very under-staffed and it took a long time to check in. The hotel rooms are very tiny (fine for a nights stay) but smaller than most others. That lunchtime we popped downstairs for a drink at the bar...

good location - very close to museums, great Vondelpark and center of the city, which is just 10-15 minutes by walk. Nice breakfasts, good stuff. A small room, which is though quite normal for european hotels. Would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you intend to visit van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum

Lovely hotel, 2 minute walk from everything you need, helpful staff, clean nice rooms! If you're looking for a cheap hotel which is still up to scratch, then book here! I have stayed twice now and enjoyed both times thoroughly

My wife and I recently spent 2 nights at this hotel. Having read some of the reviews I was somewhat sceptical about staying there and I considered changing my booking to another hotel and I even went as far as contacting my holiday provider to see what it would cost to change hotels as such the cost to me was...

Stayed for 4 nights this weekend and was pleasantly surprised - having read some of the reviews I was slightly sceptical as to what to expect. Stayed in room 613, admittedly the rooms are small but on a city trip you don't go away to spend time in the room! That said it was perfectly clean every day, the bathroom...

Well where do I start?... Arrived at this hotel which if you don't know Amsterdam is quite hard to find. We went up several streets & took some wrong turns before stumbling upon it, not well signposted & directions could be better but once you know where it is, it is in a good location. When I arrived the receptionist...

The hotel is nice, well located and staff friendly, but my room was in the basement, very claustrophobic, small windows, a glass door in the bathroom which takes off any privacy, specially if you need to use the toilet at night, the light goes straight to you friends face.. but the main problem was the toilet / sewer smell, first...

Thank you for sharing your experience! We are sorry to hear about your stay in one of our ground floor rooms. Please note that we are already working on a new design for the bathroom doors :). The hotel rooms are very small. Although we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The hotel is also a 20 to 30 minute walk away from the town centre. Staff were lovely. Room was always clean no matter when we left during the day, we always came back to a clean room. Trams do stop near the...

Even if I had a good price with booking I never imagined I end up in the basement! The room was tiny, cold, noisy and bad smelling (humidity). I had two beds instead of a large one as booked. The cleaning team does not make the room every day. The breakfast is expensive.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
