I was expecting the worst (my skeptical mind and hostels/hotels) but I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was on the very last floor, no elevator, service was 24hrs as it was attached to a restaurant that someone was always managing. Bathroom was clean, hot water worked, wifi had great connection, beds/full size were comfortable, sheets were clean, extra sheets...

The hotel was easy to approach. Well locaited. There is a restaurant under the room. People were helpfull and kind. We could left our package at the recepcion while the room was ready. We would go and stay there anytime!

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

“Noisy and cold room, with a permanent bad smell from the bathroom's pipes, we thought. Noisy because the windows were very big, leading to the main road with a lot of traffic and noisy partywanderers at night. Besides, they didn't close well and that's the same reason why it was cold. However, there was heating in the room, but it was never on. Apart from that, the Internet connection was really poor.”

“i think you should ask for a lower appurtenant but if u dont care to go up 3 floors so it dose not meter i think the upper apartment are more clean? תבקשו חדר בקומה נמוכה כי זה סיוט המדרגות באמטרדם עם המזוודות , אבל אם לא אכפת לכם אז אני חושב שהחדרים בקומות העליונות יותר נקיים”
