I like this place. We stayed in this hotel in our Holliday. It was nice time! A room was clean and pretty. The staffs were friendly. A district is calm and quiet. There are the tram and bus Stations to center of Amsterdam near. And a train station about 15 min on foot. Thank you.
Hotel location is good, not too out of the way and surrounded by shops ect. Room was on 9th floor which the corridor for this floor smelt funky, however the room was clean with great facilities. Receptionist was a fool, got into room and called us to come back down because I gave the wrong name, which I didn't, she even checked my passport, was just too busy talking to other worker... even overcharged me City tax by 10 euro. Put her in her place and received pathetic apology and sly looks. Lifts were also incredibly slow. Also paid for late checkout at 4, only to receive phone call asking when we were going to leave as its near 12. Very disorganised.
We arrived sun 8th march First impressions were good, reception checked in quickly and efficiently. Room was good, clean, coffee machine, toiletries, sewing kit and mini shoe horn. Lifts were small but 2 were available, beds were comfy, free safe in your room, hair dryer and ironing board. Quiet at night, room has a temp controller so you can tailor how hot or cool you prefer. Area was about 15 min away from the centre using bus 21, perfect for us. Transport in amsterdam very efficient, bus every 10 minutes. Breckfast was lovely, lots of selection , worth booking for your stay. We would return again, there are some negative reviews on here which I dont understand as the hotel was perfectly adequate for a few night city break
This hotel was so so poor. Where to start, From check in it was disorganised. Took me over 20 mins to get a correct bill. When I did finally get my room My first room, pokey horrid. Luckily reception rang about a matter unresolved at the desk. I said can you hear that noise, they informed me it was building work in the restaurant and didn’t know when it would stop. I had to actually tell them to provide a new room without exceptionally loud drilling. My 2nd room was hardly luxurious, I had a view of people from the housing estates washing hanging. I noticed the following day that within the estate was a dance music enthusiast. The dull thud of base was non stop during the Saturday and Sunday morning. I thought there is no point informing reception, they had so far been not much use. So the hotel in general is in a terrible location, the area felt pretty rough at night, there was very little in the area for tourists. I felt like the hotel was falling apart, the elevators felt unsafe and a large part of the hotel felt poorly maintained and unsafe. I doubt the fire alarms were regularly tested. The staff are poorly trained, I wasn’t even asked about my stay in check out. The price was not good, we overpaid! Not value for money. On a final note, it’s 2020. 2 women do share beds, we can also marry each other. I did not appreciate being questioned on whether the bed choice was the right one! Worst hotel I have stayed in for a very long time!…
Checked in and alright, one of the girls was fine but the other was miserable, our room was clean, towels were small and only one large and one medium with two hand towels, had to ask for more, no normal teabags only coffee pods so again had to ask and certainly not enough milk, we were on the 4th floor but faced into an office block so no view, that said it was very quiet, easy to get to central station on the 21 bus, don’t think I would stay there again but all was ok! Don’t like to write this sort of review but I would rather tell it how my visit was
