First time ever staying in a hostel/hotel. Qbic was a stone throw from the office and there are plenty of local shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Qbic, was very clean, however there was this distinctive smell which came from the bathroom area which got on my nerves. But this is due to the fact that the room is open plan. I suggest you bring some sort of room fragrance. Other than that it was a good experience.

This hotel is in a great location in the business area of the city and as such facilities are high quality. Also the metro and other transportation is right there so easy to get around. Due to the current situation with covid I managed to get this hotel at a bargain price and I could tell it was worth a lot more from the moment we entered the reception. The girl on reception was very welcoming and helpful and guided us to where to find our room. The room was a nice size not big or small but perfect for a place to recharge the batteries after lots of exploration in the amazing city. No windows which is not for everyone but for me it was a good thing as it stopped light coming through in the morning and also noise the room was very quiet. The bed was very big and comfortable and although only 2 pillows we slept very well. The tv was top quality and although I didn't really use it was impressive however I didn't find many English channels however I didn't look far as was busy doing other things. The bathroom has a proper power shower that is one of the best I've ever been in and easy to get the temperature just right, also there was plenty of shower gel and soap which I was very surprised about I thought they just be little bottles but no there was 2 pumps in the shower and 2 by the sink so yet another good thing. As the shower is open plan there is no door some of the water can go on the floor so be careful we just put a towel on the floor which helped. The sink basin is very big however wasn't very sturdy and ours did leak some water onto the towels and toilet roll however told the guy on reception and it was sorted by the time we got back to our room. All of the reception staff I seen were all very friendly and helpful and also let us get tea and coffee from reception and take back to our room and also let us borrow plug adapters which we forgot to bring and all of them couldn't do enough to help you I was very impressed. Most of the nearby restaurants close early but if you haven't had a proper meal don't worry you can order a takeaway on uber eats and there is plenty of choice and the quality is very high. All in all this hotel was perfect for us the price, the location, the facilities and the service were all excellent and I highly recommend this place as although it's quite far from the main centre the public transport is so good you can get about easily and if you are unable to use the metro you can get an uber at a very reasonable price. This was our first visit to Amsterdam and we will definitely be returning and I will be trying to get a room in this hotel before trying anywhere else it was that nice.

Stayed a night in the Qbic while visiting for business. The hotel is conveniently located close to Zuid Station and the business district. This can be an issue at the weekend as a lot of places are shut but it’s good to get into the centre of town and have a look around. The rooms here are spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable and quiet. There was a large shower and separate toilet with a door and also a sliding internal door to the bedroom giving plenty of privacy for couples. I presume the hotel has listened to guests following previous reviews reporting of no doors to the toilet. Would happily recommend and stay again if travelling for business.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights on our first trip to Amsterdam and we will be back ! We are amateur travelers on a first city break and booked because of recommendations of the location which is superb, one stop along the train line on a clean efficient service that's easy to use regardless of nationality, from off the plane through passport control and in our room in less than 35 minutes , one right at the bottom of the platform another right at the station entrance and barring parked cars you can see the hotel. Cheack in was quick well explained with everything you need to know and painless theres 4 lifts ( that I know of ) we were on the third floor at the back and yes their is a window that looks out onto an office block but the angle is such that nobody can really see in this is the heart of the business district so office blocks were a sort of given there is an ample curtain anyway. The room is basic but massive and the quirky toilet shower no door thing does what it was environmentally designed for stop you wasting time, water, electric in there ! The shower is piping hot and welcome after a day in Amsterdam weather and daily fresh linen a good touch even when I hung a do not disturb sign on the door the kind maid left fresh on the outer handle most places dont even bother. the tog of the duvet is ample as the room is cosy warm again welcome after the weather and even a pillow menu. We bought the breakfast on our second morning even the fussiest can find something it's hot and plentiful the complaints about the coffee are not really warranted as it's a machine so conossiers can get juice if it's that big a deal ! The staff are what I think good hotel staff should be they know the area , have loads of top tips and money savers ( Amsterdam is an expensive city ) I had a small problem with my key card I'd put it in my phone case to keep it safe ( big no,no it wipes information apparently) but the gentleman at reception knew what it might be , explained politely and fixed it in 20 seconds so no issues, only minor problem was the mattress looked very new and as such was very firm for my personal taste but a great base to explore from ment I was knackered and sleeped well the room is sound proof to a high standard so only very loud bangs are audible and very few, as it is 5 mins from airport ,next to a train station and a motorway its surprising how good it is and a very nice touch on checkout we were given a souvenir key ring attached to a 10% of your next stay card which we were weighing up when on the plane home thankyou qbic we will be back
