I booked this hotel for a group of us visiting amsterdam. I looked at the reviews after booking and got really worried, because lots of people didnt enjoy staying here. I think if you know exactly what to expect then you wont be dissapointed. So here's what you get if you book one of the 6 berth rooms - 2...

It is situated among old and well preserved Dutch wooden fishermans houses. Far across the water you look at the modern south side of Amsterdam where once warehouses used to receive their trade and store it for sale on to the next customer. The Oude Tavernee is indeed an old tavern which could well fit into a film depicting Dutch...

Lovely quite hotel, in great location. We didn't have a car so used public transport. Takes about 30 mins to get to the Amesterdam central via bus 30 (this stops almost right outside the hotel) and bus 32 which goes right to central. Hotel room was nice and cleaned everyday, a bit warm as it was a top room (...

Very nice small hotel which gives you real Dutch flavor. We took lake view room and it was great: room was very spacious with kind of antique furniture and amazing view. The only disappointment was a bit outdated bathroom. Breakfast was continental but with excellent food quality. Service wise - no issue, really friendly staff. The only thing is that...

I stayed for business with a colleague for 1 night. Could not find a hotel in Amsterdam so ended up staying here. The price was good (compared to usual 100-150€). Room was good and clean. I didn't see any spiders in my room. Food a bit pricy but it's a captive audience. We ate dinner and it was fine. Free...

We got there as planned and took the key to the room for 5 people. It has no stairs but some lousy wooden ladder! We could not get our bag there, so the guy checked us in helped climbing up that ladder with the heavy bag. But then we found out that the room was infested by dozens of spiders...

Rooms are too dirty. A lot of pests and spiders in beds and ceilings. Keep away! There are much better places around that area. We moved to a better place and the owner did not agree to refund! Bad people!

My partner and I had dinner at 'De Oude Taveerne' for Restaurant Week but unfortunately it didn't look like the price reflected the 3-course meal of Restaurant Week (27,50 euros). They just charged us the usual menu prices, which I found was quite pricey for the quality. Edible but below average for the quality. It really felt like eating (tin)...

You're only 20 minutes away from central station by bike. After spending a really wild day in the city during king's day, a quite night in the beautiful fishermen's village is perfect. The lake view, cyclists, and the old style interiors is amazing. Food is great and staff even greater.

We stayed here based upon the fab ratings on Trip Advisor, but found it to be below average at best. Firstly, the family room was dated and the carpet was old. The room was only cleaned after two days (after a complaint); this wasn't great as the entire room for the family was only about 15m squared at most. There...
