Having never visited Amsterdam before my partner and I wanted to stay somewhere relatively quiet but not a million miles away from the city centre and these apartments provided the perfect compromise! Nova Apartments are located in a very residential area close to the museum...More
The apartment was well appointed with all the amenities. It is located in the Museum quarter, so if you want the party scene this is not the place for you. It is a short walk to the 97 bus which is direct to Schipol airport....More
Very near Museum square and 5 minutes from the tram stop. Laundries are about 10-20 minutes walk. Bikes can be hired form a couple of places nearby. Facilities are good and the street is quiet. We will go back there.
We (family of 4) stayed in Nova Apartments during May 2016. It was a very pleasant place -nice apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. Everything is close by- the central station only 20 mins away. It is very close to all the museums. The neighborhood...More
This apartment is at a great location. Close to museums and the Heineken experience. It is not that close to Amsterdam Centraal Station though. But it is easily accessible by tram. The apartment is big enough for a couple, with a kitchen and living room....More

Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping
destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.

I am not the owner of these apartments - I just stayed there in August, but I can answer your question. When you come out of Central Station in Amsterdam walk across to tram #5. Take this tram to Museumplein stop and get off there. Then it is a short walk to Nicolaas Maesstraat.
I can recommend the iPhone app "CityMaps2Go" - put this on your phone and download Amsterdam city. It will not cost you anything for the app, for the map or to use the map. It is really very good and accurate (it shows you current location as well so use it like Google Maps).
