You cannot beat the ideal location of these apartments. We arrived into Amsterdam and took Tram 5 (or you can also take 16) get off at Museumplein, cross the road & Apartments are just 2 blocks in front of you. (Trams run from 6.30 am until mid night) The apartment we had was on the top floor and we found... More

This apartment is easy to find. Take S-Bahn #6 to Bahnhof Zuid. Then take Tram #5 toward Cental Station and get off at the Concert Hall. You will only be 2 blocks away. Great Location in a quiet neighborhood. Our first impression was not that good. The stovetop was dirty. The freezer in the refrigerator was so caked in ice... More

Booked the studio apartment for my husbands 40th, it's in the basement so a little dark but it's well equipped and has everything you need! I would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation it was a really good location close to museums and an easy walk to the centre and in a quiet location. We would definitely stay there again!... Very nice location, a 5-minute walk from Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, one minute to the tramway, and almost 15-20 minutes to any place in the city. The best about its location is that you feel like a local because it's in the middle of a residential neighbourhood. The place is spacious, service was great, and the apartment has everything... We stayed in these apartments in February 2016 and found them to be excellent. Everything was neat and tidy and very well equipped. Any problems we had were taken care of efficiently. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to stay near the museum quarter.

I got a room in the basement, although it is not ideal, I was not disturbed. The location is excellent at museum quarter (Van Gogh and Rijks). There is also grocery in 5 minutes walk and a short walk to tram and bus station.. River cruise is behind the museum. When check in, press the call button.. and there will... More

The room was apartment was hotel spec. With all necessary sundries provided. I was doing the marathon so this really was a perfect location as it was close to Expo/Start (tram ride away) and close to city centre for some celebratory beers and food afterwards. Supermarket is a 5min walk away. Some lovelyrestaurants close by. We were on the ground... More

Bit nervous about having a basement room, but it was clean, surprisingly roomy, and really well equipped. In fact we ended up touring the markets to buy food for our evening meals instead of eating out. There was a small amount of noise, but nothing to be concerned about given the location. Some extra coffee capsules would have been nice,... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
