Thank you EasyToBook'com. i very much enjoyed my stay at the this beautifully positioned, quaint little Hotel. There was a great sense of warmth among all the staff, from cleaners to reception. A very informative receptionist by the name of Jacopo from Italy was keen enough to take his time to explain to me where all the relavant points of...

Check in was smooth and nice size room given, however it was noisy till well after midnight with the trams going by. Air conditioning and bathroom also reasonable size. Very basic and very simple furnishings. Very small TV, no fridge or safety box. The free internet was a bit slow and sometimes intermittent. Front desk Staff service was quite good....

The location was in a convenient and beautiful part of Amsterdam but we were not made aware of the trams running past the hotel until 01.00 which made it really noisy. The reception staff were helpful and spoke excellent English. We had paid a supplement for a superior double room but I wouldn't bother in the future as the room was...

Perfect location except that the room was not clean and housekeeping didn't respond to our requests for clean sheets and towels. The carpet was dirty and probably installed in 1965! Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, but the room faced the main street and had trams running until after midnight.

Reading these critics I was scared to come gere, instead I can say the hotel is good enogh. I know its'nt as clean as Italian standards but I think is in the mean of Amsterdam. I have to say the staff is really kind.

Arrived at the hotel and straight away disappointed not because of location but because room booked with double but given a twin and told that that was what I asked for. Then the room was located in the basement with a view of an unkept garden. The room had cobwebs on the ceiling, bubbling paint work due to dam penetration...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
