I was going to Amsterdam for business reason and decided to stay in Flipper, because I'd be on meetings all day and thus needed a simple accommodation in a low price. The first shock came shortly after I made the booking - my card was charged by the full amount of my reservation, even though the booking terms & conditions... More

This hotel is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. 1. Rooms are disgusting. They are awfully small, the walls are scratched. The bed takes 90% of the room. 2. The personal is rly unfriednly. 3. The worst part is, that they have authorised my money from my bank account without my agreement and have frozen it for 1 month... More

The room was smaller than most toilets. For 30-40 euros a night it would have been ok but these greedy owners charged 99 euros a night. for 99 euros I expect more than a glorified cupboard. Don't give these people your money.

I booked this hotel, but I had to cancel the booking. I did it over the internat and I phoned the reception. They told me that the cancellation was completely OK. However, since it was during the Konigin day, I had to pay the full amount, although I did not use it. I was not informed about this when I... More

Hotel Flipper is reasonably priced and American breakfast included, so it is good value for money in an expensive city like Amsterdam. The hotel is located some distance away from the city centre, but Tram 4 stops less than 5 minutes' walk away from the hotel. Travel passes can be purchased from the hotel, though they were one short when... More

Yes the rooms are very small indeed, but clean and comfortable, showers hot, but again a tight fit. I know some of the reviews here are negative, but you've got to bear in mind many/most budget hotels in Amsterdam (especially in the central station area) are complete dives, dirty, noisy and only catering for stag/drug/sex tourists. Flipper being slightly out... More

Very very small double rooms (about 2x3 meter), dirty, old furniture No place enough to put your trunk, to get to the window you have walk over the the bed. We stayed there 2 nights and left the hotel as soon as possible in the morning and came back later to spend there possible few time. Would not recommend this... More
