The apartments are situated right in the thick of everything touristy. If you are new to Amsterdam and want a cannabis friendly place to stay, consider using Amsterdam cribs. The amenities are very basic, but just enough to get by. You'll get hot running water, a shower and toilet in each crib. The bedding is sufficient for several nights stay.... More

Stayed in Dam cribs for the second time didnt realise this was more than one building. Location was fantastic right in red light district and five minute walk from train station. Only sad thing is alot of coffee shops have shut down in this area which isnt good when your looking for a quick fix at night. The room was... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and could'nt really fault the place. The rooms are a little outdated and small but thats no issue when your right in the center of Amsterdam with everything literally in walking distance from Amsterdam Cribs. Eric one of the guys who works there was extremely nice and helpful when we arrived, he gave us... More

Stayed here in September with my girlfriend and we could not have been happier. Clean, had everything you needed......Tv, dvd player and a selection of dvds and a fridge. Also was in a fantastic location. Will not hesitate to stay here again. Best place I have stayed in Amsterdam.

I loved this place, a bit run down and a bit scabby in places, don't agree with there decision to leave bongs in the rooms, but that's the only thing I can say bad about it! Comfy enough bed, amazing location, and the person who gave us our key and took our money, was extremely professional in the best way... More

Really simple flat, with just the essentials. Our flat was located in the very center of Amsterdam, beetween the train station and the red light disttrict. I woul reccomend this place for a group of friends without too much needs. The guys are just amazing: super friendly and really helpful (we've got a lot of tips about the city).

Travelled to our beloved Amsterdam for a week or so. Amsterdam Cribs was not a first time for us...the people running it are very helpful and nice, and are very willing to show us the best spots of Amsterdam so to make our stay a memorable one! The only downside is that there used to be a common kitchenette that... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.

Amsterdam Cribs B&B is a smoker's friendly place, geared towards people looking to explore the city at a laid back pace. It's a great alternative to a typical budget hotel or a crowded hostel dorm. All our rooms are private and equipped with cable TV/DVD and a shower/toilet. We are located in the heart of Amsterdam, just five minutes walk from the Dam Square, Royal Palace, and the Red Light District. Note: The Cribs has a narrow and winding stairway, which may not be suitable for the elderly. ... more   less
