After a short ferry drive from centraal to NDSM u arrive next to the hotel. Check in was smooth and easy, got a nice deluxe room assigned, some stroopwaffles were waiting on the desk next to the DT cookie that I just got. The breakfast was nice in selection, good in quality and no complaints at all. Thank you dear team, Axel
What a great hotel. Very cool area of the city just a quick and free ferry from the Central Station. Small but stylish rooms. Outstanding breakfast. Very nice staff. And a good restaurant. Very interesting art museum next door. Grocery right there too.
We stayed 1 night in Amsterdam during our short visit to Holland. Hotel not easy to find with a car without GPS. Far out from the city. But ideal if you want to avoid the traffic in Amsterdam. The Ferry to the city centre is a 5 minutes walk. Leave your car in the parking and pay much less than in the centre. Hotel was very nice, clean and good bathroom. Staff extremely friendly. Bathroom a bit chilly since there is no heating.
Excellent hotel with great service & acknowledgement of being a Diamond member, including upgrade, complimentary drinks and general all round good feel. Quiet room & location with easy ferry access from 2 mins walk away - would stay again.
First of all the location is terrible and exactly at the front entrance of hotel there is no maintenance and it's very dirty. I came only because I m member with Hilton and like them as good hotel chain. But my experience here was terrible.
The hotel location is on one side very peaceful and tranquil and on other side, it's well connected with the ferry. The food is good and available till 10 PM. Check out and check in is fast specially if one is going for 2nd time.
1. The room was very small and dark, with a very small, elevated window. The fact that one light was not working did not help. I asked twice for this to be rectified but it did not happen. 2. The room rate was 295 euros - not including breakfast!! 3. On returning to the room at around 15.00 on my first day, I found that it had not been serviced. I had been out since 06.30am (without breakfast - as morning breakfast service did not start until 0700, ridiculous for such a hotel) so I was resting. The housekeeping staff then wanted to access my room, which I declined. They had all day until 15.00 to do this without disturbing me. 4. On arrival in the evening of Oct 27th, and during checking in I asked if my Honors account could be located to add this stay - I was told by the receptionist that evening my account could not be found. However a helpful young man on reception the next day did this easily for me. 5. Bathroom - small suggestion. Maybe install a sink with a plug so that when shaving etc, the tap is not running continuously thus wasting water. Summary This was one of the worst hotel stays I have had in many years of global business travel. Certainly, it was the worst stay at a Hilton hotel. I will be advising my company's travel team to remove this hotel from our list of approved, recommended hotels for future travellers. The room rate - I simply don't get why you think that 295 euros for a tiny, dark, depressing room with no breakfast in an area like the NDSM wharf is even remotely justifiable. It seems like a cynical attempt to recoup lost revenue from guests. I made a simple comparison and for the same period, the Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel (4 stars) in Monaco would have been 290 euros per night, the Marriott Riviera in Monaco would have been 216 per night. Your receptionist, Anna, was very apologetic and deducted some drinks and a breakfast from my account, but that is not the issue - the problems are more underlying than that. For example, I asked twice to speak to the Front Office Manager, on both occasions I was told that was not possible. All in all, the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced at a leading brand. I will not be back.…
We stayed here for one night before moving onto the Hague. Impressed with the customer service. The member of staff on duty processed our request for an upgrade promptly and at an inexpensive rate. While the room rate was a little high, it was super clean; there was tasty coffee, a nice bathroom, and a great view from the window. There is an ATM in the supermarket 2 mins away by foot, and several bars and cafes close by. Another huge bonus is a free ferry that takes you directly to Central Station, located a stone's through from the hotel. The food in the restaurant was very nice, and the beer was tasty, although a little pricey. All in all, a very positive experience. Thank you
Room 707 is a nice clean, quiet, and comfortable room with an absolutely spectacular view. In fact, I could have sat there and watched the view for days. Hotel has a restaurant and offers room service. The food is very good. The shower is easily accessible and the water pressure is very good. Front desk staff is very polite, friendly, and courteous. I would without a doubt stay at this hotel again.
Since Amsterdam Centraal is already bustling and crowded, we wanted to take the free ferry service and stay on the other side. Double Tree by Hilton was exactly what we were looking for. Two minutes walk from the ferry and you see the hotel. They also have bicycles you can rent so this was even more convenient. The hotel took care of us. We couldn’t be happier. Thank you.
