After reading recent reviews online we are dissapointed when we arrived and didn't have a room which smelt of bum as this was one of the main selling points, we were pleased however that we had the mold, stained walls, dust and general dirt mentioned in earlier reviews. The room was probably smaller than your average double sized hotel room... More

Spent there three nights in a six bed room. This is not just a cheap and austere hotel, rooms are dirty (seriously, possible explanations for some stains in the ceilings was a recurrent topic of our discussions) and very badly maintained. And, yes... That elevator... Definitely not the safest one I have ever seen!! After seen the room and the... More

I felt the location was good for me right next to van gogh museum and rijks museum easy for the tram to and from central station and into the center square where most tours go from. So sray close to this location just not this accomandation. Unfortunately for me I had a very unpleasant stay here the staff was friendly... More

As much as I would like to have something positive to say about our short time with Inner, the facts are that: a) after the first night (which was also the first night of our holiday after flying in from Australia) I received a large amount of bed bug bites; and b) we asked to change rooms which the hotel... This hotel is awful. The rooms are tiny even though we paid over €800 for a 6 person room for 4 nights. The showers smell. The rooms are dirty. There is even a cat which is there to catch the mice as the hotel has a mice problem. There isn't even wifi in the rooms even though it is so... More

Disappointing when you're paying €80 a night, but to be fair we knew this was a hostel. We were disappointed at the lack of space, horrendously thin walls & construction work going on. The location was fantastic, just a short stroll from the Van Gogh museum & on a quiet street. The staff seemed friendly too. But sadly the bed... More

I went here with two of my friends.. The hotel only has wifi in the lounge area downstairs so basically none of the rooms have wifi which was terrible for me as I had to go down 3 sets of stairs each time to get Internet. The rooms were not great, but if you need a place for one night... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend and her family for her brothers 18th in may2016 for 2 nights. On arrival it didn't look too bad but when you get inside it was a real shock. The place looks like it's ready to be shutdow, it is a really poor place. I would say this was more of a hostel than... More

Me and my friend booked this hostel as a last resort, thus payed 30 euros per person per night. It is only the second hostel I have ever been to and if it was the first I would have probably been heavily put off of the idea of hostels. The staff were nice enough and the check in was pleasant,... More

I've stayed in Inner three times when visiting Amsterdam and it's just so convenient. A bus goes a five minute walk from the hotel and once you're there, there are many trams to get you anywhere you need to be. The hotel itself is fairly basic but that's never been an issue to me. Amsterdam is an incredible city so... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
