Overall, my experience at the WestCord Art Hotel Amsterdam was pleasant. The hotel impressed me with its cleanliness and distinct artistic decor, which created a welcoming and creative atmosphere.

The rooms were cozy, modern, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and thoughtful touches like artistic accents that matched the hotel’s theme. However, for three people, the space felt a bit tight, and it would have been more comfortable with a slightly larger layout. The bathroom was clean and functional.

The amenities were practical, including a convenient luggage storage facility. Its location was a standout feature, with a nearby bus stop offering easy access to the city center and attractions. I also appreciated the option for late check-out by paying an hourly fee ( 10€ per hour).

Breakfast offered a decent variety. The rates were a bit high, likely due to the holiday season, but the attentive staff, cleanliness, and accessibility of the hotel made it a pleasant and worthwhile stay.

The westcord art hotel is a very nice hotel, Amsterdam centre is literally a 10 minute bus ride if that, the staff are very friendly and accommodating as after my first night we noticed the air conditioning unit was making a rather noisy fan noise even though it wasn't actually on we told reception of this issue and after a brief conversation we were moved to a different room the beds are very comfortable and the pillows are the best your head just sinks into them I would highly recommend staying here as its a very nice hotel very clean, and friendly staff and it's just the right distance away from the centre just a short bus ride so there are no noisy nights after a long days of sight seeing.

Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat here.

Number 22 bus stops right outside the hotel so no long walks.

First & foremost I have to give high praise to the location of the hotel, it is about 10 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam. The No 22 bus stops about 50 metres from the hotels entrance and the bus goes directly into Centraal Station in Amsterdam in the heart of the city.

Our deluxe room was adequately sized, our bed mattress was quite firm and the pillows were goose feather filled, so quite soft. There was no water in the room, even although this came equiped with a fridge. There was a safe & Espresso Coffee maker but in this modern hotel there were no bedside tables.

The shower was amazing with Fayr toiletries, which are vegan and contained argan oil, so lovely to use.

The staff were fine. On arrival to the hotel, a staff member was counting his till and didnt acknowledge our presence for at least 5 minutes until another female colleague appeared to check us in.

The hotel is very secure and to enter elevators, floor access and room access can only be obtsined by swiping your digital room key.

My final bugbear, which truly needs addressed in the lack of allergen labelling in at breakfast & in the restaurant. As a pescatarian person with a dairy & soya intolerance, my options were very limited. The breakfast options were continental as expected, but there were hot items, pancakes, hash browns, baked beans, scrambled & fried eggs, bacon & sausages.

There was one night when we ate in the Brasserie restaurant & the only thing available to me was fish & chips, not great.

Clean, tidy and quiet. What to expect from a hotel. Only downsides were that the room was very warm (not modulating) and the TV did badly. It was nice that we could park the car under the hotel at a more price of €35. Now that amount was compared to the public transport costs now.

I had a pleasant stay at the Westcord Art Hotel Amsterdam. The hotel was very clean, rooms and lobby were beautifully decorated with artistic touches, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. However, the room wasn’t very spacious for a family of three. Additionally, one of the three beds was quite noisy, which slightly impacted comfort. The AC in our room was not working, but the staff was helpful and provided us with a heater as a temporary solution.

The hotel offers convenient amenities such as a luggage room, which was very helpful. The location is also excellent, with Bus 22 stopping right in front of the hotel, providing easy access to Central Station and downtown Amsterdam. Late check-out is available for €10 per hour, up to a maximum of 4 hours, which adds flexibility for travelers.

The breakfast was good but not exceptional, offering a decent selection without being particularly memorable. The price was on the higher side, likely due to our stay during the New Year’s Eve period. Despite these minor issues, the staff's responsiveness and the hotel’s cleanliness, accessibility, and amenities made the stay enjoyable.

Very pleasant hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff. The room was very good and it is very nice to have a door which separates the children's room from the parents' room. Breakfast was very good too. The brasserie is convenient for not going out in the evening even if the prices are not cheap.

Perfectly placed hotel with buses running right outside the hotel to the city centre every 7 minutes which were always really quick. The hotel was basic but clean and the bed was comfy and the staff were friendly. Our only slight grumbles were that the room was quite chilly for the duration of our stay due to a fault with the air con not being able to switch off which unfortunately did not get fixed during our stay despite asking reception and so this meant we were having to wrap up under the duvet if we were in the room for any period of time. This was a little disappointing as we were told we were in one of the newly refurbished rooms and were one of the first guests to visit it so had hoped it these sorts of things would not be an issue.

The other thing was that the food offered in the restaurant was not freshly prepared so meant some dietry requirements couldnt be met such as the removal of sauces or a food item. Again something we did not expect as the kitchen is visible from the street and looked well stocked to prepare fresh meals.

However despite these things, the location and cleanliness was ideal for our needs and we would consider going back again if we were to revisit Amsterdam as we felt that these hicups could hopefully be fixed in future or worked around by eating out which was what we did for the majority of our break.

The first thing that really impressed me about this hotel was the view from our room window: we were at the back of the hotel and had a wonderful view of the swimming pool and parkland/greenery that surrounded it. We could have used the pool for free as part of our stay. We didn't get round to doing it, but it is a great and unique option to have.

The location of the bar at the hotel is quite brilliant also: you can sit outside next to the pool/parkland and really enjoy the view. On a warm summer evening, sitting outside in this way, it really was a captivating experience. You could, weather permitting, also sit in this area for breakfast. We were able to do this and it was quite splendid. To have this scenery in the middle of a busy city for a three star hotel is quite special.

Our room was light and modern - no complaints. We would have liked a proper double bed rather than two beds pushed together, but it seems to be quite common on the continent to have it this way.

The buffet breakfast was top quality. There was a great array of pastries and premium quality breads, plus a full cooked breakfast available. The only issue with the cooked breakfast was that the sausages weren't proper English-style sausages - they were little mini sausages that were hard and cold; cured sausages I think. My partner didn't like them but I'm not sure we can complain because ultimately, we weren't in England, we were in the Netherlands, and I'm assuming these are the local equivalent of a breakfast sausage. As a real marker of the quality of the breakfast, the orange juice was clearly proper, freshly squeezed orange juice, which is very rare in a three star hotel.

Apart from the niggles mentioned above, there were two other tiny little niggles that prevent me from giving the hotel a five star review (perhaps I'm harsh but I do think the service has to be near perfection for five stars!) Firstly, we had an almost empty bottle of bodywash for showering in our bathroom (it clearly hadn't been refilled for quite some time), and only one tea bag next to the kettle in the room for the two of us for a three night stay! This was not enough for two English guests!

I would give the hotel 4.5 stars if that were an option, but as it isn't, I've had to go for 4 stars. My apologies to the hotel for this, because, overall, they have a great thing going on.

We had a lovely 4 night stay here. Rooms seemed very modern and new. We initially had room 132 which had a large bathroom, glass panelled shower and 2 x sinks along with a huge bath. Unfortunately the bath wouldn't drain therefore we moved rooms to 131 which was a bit different in configuration in comparison. Nonetheless it was about on par minus the 2 x sinks. Staff at the hotel friendly and helpful. Mini fridge, Nespresso and kettle provided along with tea and coffee. USB charging ports next to bedside. Beds and pillows were really comfy. Robes and slippers provided. Luckily we didn't need to have a lie in at all, but come 9 AM there was a lot of noise in the corridor due to the adjacent rooms being refurbished, hammers, drills and saws ! Rooms were very clean. I would recommend getting the GVB app on your phone and paying for a ticket for the duration of your stay up to 5 days, the GVB app allows bus, tram, Metro and GVB ferry useage and was about 30 Euros for 5 days which was well worth it. We caught the GVB bus 369 from Schiphol to Sloterdijk and then change to Bus 22 to the hotel. Buses run very frequently until apprx 1 AM. Bus 22 can be caught right outside the hotel into Amsterdam Centraal - apprx 10 - 15 mins bus ride. Or you can walk apprx 5 mins to the next bus stop which is located near to an Albert Hejn supermarket, here you can catch the 22 or the 48 bus, 48 bus is slightly more direct and quicker. The hotel seems to be in an OK location and we felt safe enough, close to Westerpark, and apprx 30 mins walk into city. Hotel allows early check in of the room if ready, they also allow you to drop off your luggage beforehand and also after check out.

Very nice hotel, well located, close to the bus which will take you quickly to the center, but we did the tour on foot, which was doable by bringing suitable shoes. Regarding the hotel, we regret the noise coming from the cleaning team one morning, otherwise the premises are very clean and secure. We tried the hotel restaurant, some common à la carte dishes. The pizzas are very good. Big downside for the desserts: we were served 3 scoops of ice cream without the fruit specified on the menu, with lousy whipped cream, all for €10 per dessert… it was a bit painful. The reception staff are charming and helpful.
