This hotel is situated slightly away from the town centre. There’s nothing much in the area so a bus ride is required to see all the main tourist attractions in town. However, I feel the price point compensates for the slight inconvenience. The hotel also serves up a delightful breakfast in a comfortable and cosy setting. I still dream of the nice fluffy pancakes I had here which stayed amazingly fluffy despite being preprepared. What’s you secret? If I ever find myself back in Amsterdam, I will certainly consider this gem of a hotel.

When we arrived at this lovely hotel we were told we’d been given a free up grade our room was very clean comfortable and spacious it had a large double bed shower & bath and proper toiletries it had a separate toilet but no hand washing facilities so you had to walk across the bedroom to the bathroom to wash your hands (bit of a pain in the night) but we soon got used to it so not a problem. our room was cleaned daily and bed changed mid week towels changed alternate days, bath /shower mats changed daily staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble for them especially the lovely Fleur Visser who lit every candle in the bar for us (not just the one on our table) when we were the only ones there for a late night drink “just to make it nice for us “ Bus stop is a couple of minutes from hotel these run every10 minutes and are always on time or it’s an easy 20-30 minute walk into the city centre you need to buy a travel card to use public transport £7.50 for the card but it’s valid for 5 years then you put a top up on each trip is around 2 euros top up money can be refunded at the end of your stay or it can be left on your card for a return visit it’s valid on buses trams & trains Breakfast at hotel is rather pricy 16.50 euros but a large self service variety and cooked to perfection Tea & coffee making facilities are in the room but no milk we bought some milk but despite being in fridge in the room it had gone off the next day there is a safe in the room which is free to use I can really recommend this hotel for a holiday we will definitely be making a return visit

Had to cancel our stay last minute due to UK government imposing a 14 day quarantine upon return from the Netherlands & not having enough time before going back to work. Despite booking a non-flexible room, hotel have given us a 12 month window to rebook with them which they didn’t have to do.

We stayed here for a week, before we booked we called ahead and asked how the pool worked and could we get to swim and the hotel informed us that swimming wasn't a problem. That was lies, the pool isn't owned by the hotel and you have to book in. There is no recreation swimming available for couples so unless you have children then you cannot use the pool. We also noticed we weren't the only ones to have been mis-sold about the pool as over our stay we seen a lot of disappointed people complaining to reception about this. We where very disappointed because the only reason we booked the hotel was because of the pool. While the rooms where nice and the cleanliness wasn't bad the fact that they lied about the pool really annoyed us because there where lots of nicer cheaper hotels located closer to the centre of Amsterdam we would have booked instead. Staff at reception where usless, I would Google anything you need to know about the area as the girls on the desk aren't very helpful and don't seem to know very much, anytime you ask them for something they start clicking on the computer while you stand there in a long akward silence waiting for them to give you their Google response or whatever they are pretending to do on the computer each time. Like I said it's not a bad hotel but I'm not very happy with it because the not only lie on their description on all booking site about the pool but they also lie about it when you call up and ask them. I will be back in Amsterdam but just not to this hotel.

Our sincere apologies that you had this experience with us! Regret to hear. Despite all the online information, I'm sorry you are miss informed. Terms and conditions around COVID are changing so quick and last minute we did our best to inform our guests to our best intentions. The pool is partly ours and we bought tickets for our guests so they were able to enter. Unfortunately due to COVID there were restrictions. About our staff I'm shocked to read as most of the reviews sound positive on our team members. Warm regards, Franny Stroeken General Manager
