The room was full of dust, the towel were smelly even if they looked clean! And I didn t know about the sharing toilet, is really something I hate !!! For sure I want go...

Just arrived home after 2 nights. Not a hotel as such more a studio apartment in a brilliant location! Suited us perfectly as a base. Comfy bed and clean room and bathroom. If you want the whole hotel feel with bed and breakfast etc then avoid but if u want a clean comfy base and in the centre of everything...

From the moment we arrived this was a big disappointment.the accommodation is approached via a narrow shabby alleyway. Then a dark hallway in need of repair. Holes in the walls etc. When leaving the lift a very steep flight of stairs to the room. The room was clean. However the bed was terrible. Dipped in the middle.lumpy foam pillows. Duvet...

It is in an excellent location, being really close to Leidesplein and the museum quarter and 15 min walk to the centre. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom is shared with the other (quieter) room at the back and the owner lives in a third room. It was fair value for a short stay if...

The first time we stayed in Amsterdam, we stayed outside the main area, in a very dingy and unclean hotel. For our second trip I found this place.... And was not disappointed! We stayed in a studio room apartment style flat. It was a good size room and made for an amazing base! Very central location, which made everything so...

We have stayed in this accommodation for a short with break in Amsterdam. The "owner" was very nice and kept in touch with us over the phone before we went and while we were there. The accommodation in the Nieuwmarket area is so central, you can walk anywhere. I think we were a bit betrayed by the pictures, everything looks...

Room was ok. Shared bathroom. Owner was very rude. Didn't let us check in until 4pm on the first day when we arrived at 7am. When we got there at 4 he wasn't at the apartment and we were made to wait another hour. Didn't make any noise but he came into our room and told us he was having...

We liked how cosy the room was - we expected a-room-in-a-hostel type of accommodation but it turned out it's the guy's house and he lives in one of the rooms and he sublets the other two rooms. So the shared bathroom was shared with only 2 rooms. Everything was done very well and with taste, very nice accommodation and superb...

Paid 100 euro's a night for this place, and it's worth it. You get a big bedroom with lots of extra like a microwave-oven. The owner who lives there too is a really nice guy. This in a popular area with loads of restaurants within walking distance, close to the Centrum of Amsterdam, museums. Expect a little bit of noise....

Hard to locate this place. There is no sign saying Green Apple Holiday just a small little coin sized green apple (sticker?) on a doorbell beside a restaurant which, if it is open has tables out on either side of door, so easy to miss. Loved the location! It was right where we wanted to be close to lots of...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
