Well located hotel, but kind of expensive. The rooms are very small. If you need location, there may be better options for a reasonable price. The stairs are narrow, I mean boat narrow, so be careful.

My boyfriend booked this hotel, and after reading reviews on Tripadvisor I was terrified! When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised, the hotel is in a good location near lots of restaurants and only a few minutes walk to the main stretch of shops etc. Lots of complaints on here about the room size - it's a 17th century canal...

Great location close to everything you need. Rooms are small but nicely decorated and relaxed. British channels on the tv. Never had breakfast so can't comment on that. But good hotel for the weekend. Would definitely recommend to others, and if I come back to Amsterdam I will be booking here.

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel purely on the basis that it was the cheapest hotel that was close to all the sights and attractions of Amsterdam. The hotel itself was fairly clean. Our room was small (the bathroom in particular was tiny) but the bed was comfy and the staff were friendly. Overall, for the price, it's pretty...

I cannot praise enough the personnel of this hotel, mainly in the person of Karina, their Latvian receptionist - but also the male receptionist was extremely nice and helpful. I arrived by taxi from Centraalstation, Amsterdam, having just flown in from Dublin late on Christmas Eve for a two day trip. I immediately discovered I had left my passport and...

Visited this hotel just before Christmas this year, the hotel itself was in a prime location just minutes from the strip, every kind of restaurant and all the main connecting trams. We had a double room which was very small, the bathroom you couldn't even move in but as we weren't spending a lot of time there it was fine....

This place is very strategically located just beside Popeyes's coffee shop and nearby bulldog. Well we couldn't find the appropriate room size and had some trouble with the management but they were nice. Well eventually we got a better place to stay in since the bed and room is below average and all toilets are sharing

Leidsplain location is the best in Amsterdam IMHO. That's the main pros of this place. Rooms are not fancy but very quiet. That's the con. Breakfasts are fine if you choose not to eat in one of the cafes nearby. Rooms view to the river is nice or to the rooftops. Good service - fast and kind. Great value for...

In short... it's a pig sty but I do also have some good things to say about the place, but we'll come to those a little bit later on. Upon checking in we were given a room on the 4th floor which I believe to be the very top floor, it has a lift so not an issue with me....
