We booked a twin/double room in December 2014. On arrival in July 2015 we were given a room in which the double bed just about managed to squeeze in, once you got two people in there as well you had to plan every move in advance. The room faced the busy main road and tram stop, and had single glazing....

Great location - 5 mins walking from Dam Square! Good restaurant just outside the hotel (with vegetarian options). Steep staircase, but we got help with our luggage. Small but cozy room. Very helpful staff - he helped us with city maps, and ways around the main streets. Wifi was bad, but manageable. Great if you are looking for a budget...

When we arrived we cant imagine how to carry our luggage upstairs since the stairs are quite steep and narrow. The staffs then helped to carry up our luggages. Since we booked family room, its only at first floor. Lucky us. The staffs were extremely good and helpful. They helped us to print out our boarding pass for the next...

We love the Hotel de Westertoren. We have stayed here 3 different times since 2010, most recently March 2015. The staff is the best, helpful and very customer service oriented. One of the female clerks even helped me get my new tablet changed from the default language, Dutch, to English. We will stay here again and again.

The hotel location is about 5mins from the Dam square. We rented the family room which was clean and is good enough to accommodate 7 adults. But it was in a different style with one side built like a bunk bed. There is only one small size bathroom for the family room. For a family room this size, the price...

We reserved a family room through Bookings.com, and the hotel decided to cancel our reservation at the last minute because they oversold. We didn't find out until we arrived (very tired from long travel), and it was extremly stressful and frustrating. They didn't explain why they decided to give our reserved room to someone else and only showed us the...

The room was very small. The bed was a mattress sized lump of rubber and hideously uncomfortable. The window, although closed, had a draft which blew down on my head, so I had to move to the other end, precariously underneath the small and badly installed TV ledge. The radiator didn't work, until I got someone to look at it....
