We had a positive welcome by Charlotte, who was very kind and helpful with advice about where to park and where to eat. The place is very cosy and close to the centre of Amsterdam. The street is very quiet and kind. We had a nice holiday there. Thank you very much, Charlotte.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B&B Jordaan. It is located on a quiet street that is easily acccesible from the train station by a short bus ride or an interesting walk. Our room was large, very comfortable, bright and airy, very quiet and private. We enjoyed the large Dutch breakfasts that Charlotte served to our room...

I probably can't say enough about this B&B. Charlotte couldn't have been a more gracious hostess, helping us first with the parking meters (since we don't read Dutch), carrying my suitcase up the stairs, making fabulous restaurant recommendations (we went to all of them!)... I can go on and on. The B&B was perfectly located in the charming Jordaan neighborhood,...

My brother-in-law lives in Amsterdam and he recommended this lovely accommodation for us. And he was right! Everything was arranged for the maximum comfort on the whole floor; shower room and the loo are separated from the spacious bedroom. The additional feature is this Jordaan area which is famous for the many cafés, restaurants and shops with a kind of...

As someone who knows Amsterdam well, I was keen to find a place in the Jordaan (the most peaceful and interesting part of Amsterdam). The B&B Jordaan scores highly on 4 significant criteria: 1) It's in the right place 2) Its clean, comfortable and well appointed. 3) It's quiet 4) It's probably the best value for money in Amsterdam. Charlotte...

Weather was cold and we really appreciate to relax in this warm place! Charlotte is a lovely person very very very helpefull even if I was a bit...

Perfect location in the lovely Jordaan! Close to restaurants and pubs but still nice and quiet and a nice change from the "party side of Amsterdam" (Red light district.). Nice generous breakfasts and the owners were just right - a good mix of privacy and helpful advice on where to go and what to see. My only complaint would be...

We stayed in one of two beatiful rooms in a typical old Amsterdam house in the Jordaan, a part of the town that you will love instantly if you like pittoresque streets, nice cafes, restaurants and small shops. We enjoyed the feeling of being valued guests to our friendly and helpful hosts, which is just a different feeling from staying...

A nice and gemütlich room for two people with an opportunity for two more persons on the same floor. The room is placed in the Jordaan quarter which is very nice for going out, eating and drinking and for walking. You get a breakfast in your room which is good and enjoyable. We felt comfortable there and would always come...

When you read our reviews from before September 2008 please be aware that the layout has been changed slightly by a huge renovation in 2008. We still only have rooms on the ground and first level but now all rooms have new (bigger) private and en-suite bathrooms. And room 1 no longer has a gas-heater but is also (as all...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
