Perfect location, perfect hosts and couldn’t have asked for more! Breakfast was perfect, and some great local places were recommended. There is an amazing market just around the corner on a Saturday and it’s close to everything you might need while being in a quiet neighbourhood. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 👍🏻

We're pleased to receive this kind of response as it is one of our must-do's to tell you all about Amsterdam :). Also on monday morning there is a nice big clothes and cloth market a few blocks away. It is hard to notice when you are inside our B&B so we try to tell everyone as it is very cute to visit Kind regards, Charlotte B&B Jordaan

This is a B&B (Bed & Breakfast) in a beautiful part of town. We walked everywhere - we were able to get to the train station, Anne Frank House, and Rijksmuseum all with a brisk 20-30 minute walk. There are also trams closer if you prefer not to walk so far. We are a family of 5, and we had the room at the top of the stairs with bunk beds, which suited our family very well. We had to pay extra for the 5th person, which was due in cash upon arrival, along with the city tax (this was made very clear in advance). This is a small B&B, so it will have advantages and disadvantages over a hotel. There is no registration desk - the owner has to greet you when you arrive, so she asks for an estimated arrival window, to be sure she is home when you get there. There is no sign outside, so be sure you know the address and the host's name, so you can ring the right doorbell when you get there. It is a yellow door. I've got a picture of it attached here. The host was very responsive to our requests (more clean glasses, etc.) but keep in mind that this is just one person, so you may not get an immediate response, like you would in a hotel. Breakfast was served on weekdays at our choice of 8 or 9 am. She would knock on the door at precisely the time selected and bring in a tray. The food was typical European breakfast, with bread and cheese, jam or peanut butter, orange juice, sometimes yogurt, and a few other things. Coffee (French press) and tea are available in the room self-serve. When we were finished, we put our tray outside the door for her to pick back up. The host lives in the same house with the B&B guests. She told us which was her door and told us we could knock on it any time we need something. Of course, she would not necessarily always be there. We just ended up leaving her a note the few times we needed something, since it was never urgent, and she always got us what we needed very quickly. One thing we enjoyed was the small playground in the courtyard that we could see from our window on the back of the house. It is called the "Chicken Playground" because in the middle there is an enclosure with chickens and rabbits. My younger kids visited there every day to work off some excess energy.

We're pleased to read that this group had such a good time. Please know that we offer 3 very different double/twin rooms, they are different in sizes/ prices but they all have a private ensuite bathroom. One has a private ensuite garden, another a French balcony with garden view and the 3rd city view with a canal sideaways. And only to one room you can add an extra mattress for a 3rd person. To see which room fits you best please go to OUR OWN website where you can also find our availability and make a, commision free, reservation. Kind regards B&B Jordaan

No customer service!! VERY RUDE. If you have issues upon arrival there is no number to call and talk to anyone. Only a recording to email them for check in info and then they do not respond. When you are forced to find another hotel, they will not refund your money. They are not even decent enough human beings to offer a partial refund. They will only tell you that it is not their fault that the building nor mailboxes or anything is labeled as B&B Jordaan and that you are lying when you tell them about the issues you had locating the place to check in. If we had been able to check in they were going to take another 100 euro per night for deposit and parking in area was 75 euro per night. Take your hard earned money and find another location...this place is not worth the risk.

These guests didn’t arrive but informed us through E-mail in the afternoon that they had booked in elsewhere. Ofcourse it is a pity that they didn’t arrive and I’ve been waiting for them almost all afternoon, also near our telephone, hoping that they would. They claimed that they had been standing before our B&B, precisely the same building as on the picture they had, and on the same address, but they didn’t ring the doorbell because they couldn’t figure out if this was B&B Jordaan. Ofcourse, after receiving that information we asked them to come back but the wouldn't. Afterwards we tried to understand what happened found it hard to do so. Since we opened our doors in 2001 over 3000 groups arrived and none had this kind of problem. We are sorry but also found that their refusal to return to our address was a choice they made for themselfs and that included the knowledge that no refund would be submitted. Kind regards, Charlotte van Sante, Host and owner of B&B Jordaan

We’re glad to read that our accommodation is well located and clean. Given these costs please know that we have 3 pricelevels and when you book directly with us, you do not pay (15-25%) commission to a 3rd party. When booked directly you will always find the ALL INN amount on your invoice. We then also offer each guest the choice to pay the full amount with a creditcard. If you choose not to, there is a cash machine at 2 minute walk from our B&B. Breakfasts mon>>fri are always included for free. During the weekend in high season it isn't as then there are lots of places within a 5 minute walk around our B&B to enjoy a beautifull breakfast. During low season on saturdays & sundays breakfast is often available but only if you have reserved it in advance. Checking out is at 10:00. A.M. and for thos guests who haven’t yet found it on teh internet we usually explain this during check in. Only this way we can offer arriving guest access to their rooms already around 1130 A.M. for free, which is much appreciated after a long travel. To leaving guest we offer to call a taxi to leave luggage until later when needed. We expect that our guest understand that their time of departure is an as important part of the agreement as is their time of arrival. Most guest do :) But sometimes we find guest still unpacked and a sleep at 10:00 a.m. In that case we will offer you some time to pack and expect you not to fulfil your full morning routine. Most guests do understand this well but if not we (will never be aggressive but) will be persistent that your departure does not disturb the arrival of others. Met vriendelijk groet (kind regards), Charlotte van Sante, Host and owner of B&B Jordaan

On the plus side this is nicely located in the Jordaan next to trams, food and canals. Room was small but clean. On the minus side we were required to give a 30-minute arrival window, which was a pain to meet, room was not cleaned during the stay, towels not changed, etc. Room was up a short steep winding staircase that was not well lit. Breakfast came to our room on a tray at either 8 or 9 (again a tight schedule), no dining room to enjoy. Just think the owner doesn't have the time needed to make it a welcoming accommodation.

We’re pleased to read the positive input concerning our location and the cleanliness of the room but also sorry because it seems that something went wrong. First of all: We have 3 sizes of rooms, one small room with private ensuite garden, one quite bigger room with city view/ canal sideways and a spacious room with a French balcony and garden. As we often only have one group arriving during the day we ask our guest for a one-hour window to arrive and to keep us informed in case of delay. Breakfast is indeed served in the privacy of your room as each room has beside a private ensuite bathroom also a private dining table. Some guest appreciate that luxury very much others (as is clear from this review) do not. We do not do housekeeping but will inform you at check-in that clean or extra towels and other extra’s (like coffee/ tea/ sugar for your private coffee and tea-making set, or an iron or even aspirins) are available when needed. Therefore, every morning while serving breakfast, we will ask you ‘there is anything that we can do for you’. Please do let us know!  (and speak to us while you are here.) We’re looking forward to welcome you at our B&B. To get the best information please make your reservation through our own website. Met vriendelijke groet (kind regards), Charlotte van Sante, Host and owner of B&B Jordaan
