I stayed at the Truelove Guesthouse for 3 nights in May 2009 with my girlfriend. We arrived early in Amsterdam and had already arranged with the manager (Sean) that we could store our bags if the room wasn’t ready, we were told to return at 1.00, which we did to find out the room still wasn’t ready, an hour later... I had the pleasure of staying in one of the properties run by Truelove Guesthouse in Jordaan in Amsterdam and it was lovely. I've been a number of times to Amsterdam / Holland for business and holidays over the years, and this was by far the most pleasant place I've stayed. I was upgraded into a lovely flat on Langestraat,... More

I stayed four nights in October 2008 and had no complaints whatsoever. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was on Herengracht in a mini loft studio, freshly painted with nice decor (including very funky light fitting). The location was perfect and easy stroll to all sites. There is mini bar fridge, sink, kettle and tea facilities... give me... More

Nice quiet location, about 10 mins walk to center. We stayed in the studio apartment which was quite nice. No problems!

The guys that own Truelove Guesthouse were very friendly and helpful. The unit that was assigned to us was in the basement of a canal house in the quiet Jordaan district. At first, we were a bit freaked out about staying in a "basement." However, the unit was nice. It had a little tv, fridge, a nice private bathroom and... More

My girlfriend and I got really lucky! We chanced upon this antique store walking around Amsterdam. When we inquired about rooms we were walked over about 3 blocks and shown a second floor apartment (nice sitting room, kitchen, bathroom w/shower & bedroom with 2 single beds, beautifully furnished with a lovely view of a picturesque street, & it cost us... We stayed here for three nights in Feb and it was perfect. The room was 2 mins walk from the owners shop, in a lovely area. It was self-contained with it's own entrance, and cosily kitted out. The owners were really friendly, they gave us advice on local sights and happily looked after our bags all day on the day... More
