I do not even know where to start here. Without a doubt the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. When I booked, I was not expecting The Ritz, but I was expecting something at least half-decent because the room had worked out at over 100 euros a night, and the photos of the rooms online looked pretty good. When I... More

This is the kind of place you turn up at and hope it's the wrong address. Has the air of illegal activity about it, there were obvious fist holes in the walls of our room. As you walk in the door (which is a completely different building to the one you check in at) you are welcomed by the sweet... More

Rooms have flooring that is falling apart, small beds, a couple of hooks for your clothes (if you are lucky you may even get a hanger), shower stalls that leak, toilet bowls installed backward and staff that just don't care to help or service your room. Stay away. Sleeping in a hostel would be a more enjoyable experience

We went in the Paganini Hotel and we found a bad situation inside. The rooms too small and too dirty , with a bad wiew from the windows. My room was on the dustbin! We were five friends and we wanted to have fun in Amsterdam, but the situation in the hotel was bad.

We were given keys to this 'hotel' when we had refused to sleep in two rooms at the Vivaldi Hotel. The Vivaldi is the sister hotel and it is run by the same people. I have reviewed this separately. On entry the Paganini hotel stank of diarrhea and vomit. There was an dirty tin bucket and mop outside of a... More

I'm not sure where to begin... this one was like the worst hotel i've stayed in so far. The room wasn't clean, the bed clothing had hairs on it which makes me believe it wasn't washed also, the floor was dirty etc... It's far away from city center and the nightlife... Don't be fooled with the price, pay a little... More

Is far from the center, but there are a wonderful park. The staff was friendly, but not eager to help you in any matters or matters. Breakfast for 4 euros terrible, better to walk to the nearest cafe. The room is very small, dirty curtains. But pleased with large windows and a comfortable bed. although the sheets were in the... Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
