The hotel is located in a business area, without any tourist attraction. There are bus/tram connections that will take you to the city, but a cab drive is extremely expensive. It is recommened to have a car on hand. I stayed in the business room with a corner view, and it was very nice, excellent design, quiet and clean. The...

I was there with a group of colleagues for a conference and it is good for this purpose. Food is good, hotel is efficient. Staff were fine. Design touches are fun but don't add much. Rooms are a triumph of design over utility. Lighting is dreadful. No light near safe - try punching in numbers in the dark. Infuriating! Cold,...

As long as you do not mind busing into the City Centre, this Hotel is a joy to stay in. The bedrooms are very large and the double beds are enormous. We found the Reception Staff very helpful and what with an excellent breakfast it realy is hard to find fault with this large Hotel apart from it's location. If...

i dealt with 3 diff staff, and not even one was polite. this is shocking. does the management know what is happening with their staff? they dont even look at you when they talk to you, one even sighed when i was asking questions, n looked as if he was annoyed. i was doing the check in, and the staff...

After reading the reviews, we were a bit worried about staying here. I think that the way the hotel had been slagged off in previous reviews was just a lack of understanding of Dutch culture. Yes, the distance from Dam central was a 20 minute tram journey but only a 5 minute walk to the tram stop (if you know...

A mate and I stayed here for the weekend when we went to the Awakenings techno festival. The hotel is minimalist in decor but very spacious, clean and refreshingly arty. In the main areas of the hotel, contemporary art and sculptures sit alongside bespoke pieces of modern furniture to give the place a unique atmosphere. The staff were all helpful...

Having stayed here before in 2008 we were looking forward to going back but how things have changed. We had booked a 'queensized bed' and were given a twin bedded room (on honeymoon) which was seriously in need of a deep clean. The beds had no undersheets and the first sheet didn't even fit and on the third day new...

If you're looking for somewhere cheap, yet modern this is your place to stay. The rooms are ample and well designed if not becoming a bit tatty and worn around the edges. As some of the other reviews stay the staff aren't the friendliest in the world but this didn't really bother me as the deal was so cheap but...

The staff is very very frivolous. He did not want to serve you. When we check in, he did not tell us the facility of the hotel and not provide the map of the city spontaneously for us. From his facial expression, I feel that I was belittled. I think that is a serious discrimination. Because he treat the people...

We booked this hotel having read the reviews so were aware it wasn't near the city centre and that you would have to get a tram to get to all the attractions. Therefore, it didn't come as a surprise that a 15 min walk was required to get to the tram stop, but must admit by the end of the...
