A nice clean & tidy hotel just a 7 minute walk from the train station and around the corner from the hustle & bustle of the city. The hotel does not have a bar but there is one next door open until 3am. Do not worry about it being rowdy as they always play the music low and it is... More

I was in Amsterdam for 3 days in July; and to be honest, this hotel was not my first choice; I booked it because we were running out of options. Coming in from Schipol we took an express train to Central Station and then we had a do-able drag of our luggage east ~ 10 blocks to 123 Prinsehendrickkade. I'm... More

The rooms are clean and very nice. The bathrooms are clean but annoying in the fact that the shower has a tiny partition only and it gets completely flooded when you are done showering. (Europe really needs to start using shower curtains). The location is fantastic and there is a tiny bar two doors to the right, a perfect place... More

Booked for ~€200|night for three nights, got there first day to learn we have to spend the night in a dingy room in the basement with 4 tiny single bed. We got a regular queen bedroom next day after 11am. They did offer free breakfast for this mess. Then comes the next bad news. Water was going to be out... More

Hotel mansion is an hotel with nicely decorated but small rooms. You really pay for the location. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull. It's a shame that an extra fee was asked for breakfast while the hotel rooms were not really cheap. A complementary breakfast would be fair. The bed and shower were very good and with a... More

I had an exceptional stay in this boutique hotel! The room was kind of small but very clean. Wifi was decent, few channels in english, front desk was professional and the location is excellent! Only 5 minutes walk to the central station and red light district. Definitely would come back and stay here again.

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
