So stayed in the 1 star budget rooms and to be fair can not really complain ,the staff were all very polite and the hotel has plenty of character. It's just over a mile or so from central station ,but has a great tram service just a stone throw away. The food was tasty enough and although not cheap with in reason.The... Went here because my brother got married here. Great hotel with a great history of being a prison and some more. When walking around you can still see lots of details. Great bed, huge bathroom and sheets in which I wanted to sleep all day. That could be the booze but who knows. I would definitely sleep here again.

We've have stayed in multiple locations in Amsterdam but this was was a bit out of the norm for us but I'm so glad we picked the Lloyd. When you've had a day in Amsterdam it's such a relief to take a tram back to Zeeburg. If you think it's too far out its definitely not the case, number 26... More

This is a very special hotel with very nice views and excellent location, only 20 minutes away (tram) from city centre. We stayed in a room with shared bathroom, which was very clean and tidy; always had fresh towels. A bit too noisy as people come in and out of their rooms.

Hotel is old. Building is pretty but the hallways reminded me of a haunted house. Service is ok. Check-in fast. Rooms old. I guess it was an interesting experience staying at an outdated hotel. It is a building with a past - a true monument. Facilities are limited. But if you are into history you will like it.

Dear Kristina, Thank you for writing a review about your stay. The hotel dates back to the 1920’s and is indeed an old historical building. With different Dutch architects and designers, the 117 hotel rooms are all different. We are constant busy with renovations since the building is very old and we think the comfort in the rooms is very... More

Slightly quirky hotel, but that's what makes it, you need to read the history of the hotel to find out why. Picked this hotel because of price, location and the fact it had car parking. Bonus turned out to be how close it is to the trams, you can get the number 26 and number 10 trams from the back... More
