We simply had the best stay ever in this hotel! Lovely room and people! Great location and as a family we got the feeling that the kids were more than welcome. There was a nice activity for kids in the hotel, including a lovely book! The diner was nice too! Good food, lovely wine and a great waiter. All in all I have the feeling that this hotel is at its best eight now! Worth a visit!

Lovely hotel, great staffing, perfect location. The hotel has a unique style and beautiful rooms. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere to it and both dinner and breakfast was a delight. Location is perfect, close to the city center and public transport, still a very quiet spot. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary, with our kids. We LOVED it. The hotel is an exciting place, mixing modern design with history, and is unique in that it offers rooms from 1 star to 5 stars. We had a 4 star room, which was very spacious. It featured a very big box-bed (bedstee), a dining table we used for breakfast and 2 beds were added for the kids. Still we had enough space to walk around. Great view over the IJ. The staff was exceptionally friendly. We really felt welcome, and the kids felt at home. We booked the family package, which included a very extensive treasure hunt themed around the mice Piep and Katje who used to live here. This tour of the hotel includes a wide range of activities for the kids, some snacks and some drinks. They absolutely loved it. Oh, and did I say the staff was exceptionally kind? Yes, probably. But they deserve to have that mentioned twice. We fell in love with this hotel. We certainly will be back. Even if it is so close to home.
