Excellent choice & would highly recommend. Standard double room (only choice from Easyjet) was satisfactory however would have preferred separate shower room rather than shower/toilet with sink located in closet in bedroom area. Corridors are very dark & would suggest lighting at each doorway. Hotel was beautiful but as we were only there for three nights we didn't make full... More

The College Hotel oozes cool without being overly posh or intimidating. The staff combining interns training besides seasoned professionals are extremely helpful and pleasantly mannered. Any concerns about having made the right choice of hotel were quickly brushed aside when I was checked into my upgraded room at 7am for no extra charge. What’s more the staff in designer black... Booking a hotel used to be a relatively easy procedure – find the hotel in a guide you trusted, check whether they have space and you can afford it, and then pay. Nowadays the hotel world has become hugely more complicated with the rumbling uncertainty about never paying more than you need to. And, always, once you are committed, you... More

Had a fabulous stay at this hotel. Stayed for 3 nights and all staff extremely helpful from moment we walked in. Breakfast was superb and filled us up for the busy day ahead. We did not use the restaurant as it was over our budget and we wanted to eat amongst the hustle and bustle of the city anyway. The... More

We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel which is well located out of the main tourist area but close to the museums. The hotel is quite dark inside with modern lighting and a cosy feel. The bedrooms were well appointed and only lacked for tea and coffee facilities. We had 2 adjacent rooms on the 2nd floor... More

Front desk service attentive, even though trainees. Rooms were very noisy, near a courtyard dining area open late at night, also inadequate window covers for us folks adjusting to a time zone change/bright light. Restaurant prices high, so we did not experience that. The bar lovely and service attentive. Convenient to tram and Museum district.

I was here with 9 Board members for 2 nights. Everything that could go wrong went wrong, not because of circumstances but due to a lack of professionalism: 80% of the staff are young trainees who are hardly interested. The most experienced one stay maximum 3 months... So forget a professional welcome, you better do not come thirsty or hungry... More

We stayed at the College Hotel on July 6th before setting sail on a Baltic Sea Cruise with Celebrity. From our first communication to our check out everything went seamlessly. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating, room and bath adequate, comfy pillows. We took the tram from the airport to the hotel and it was very... More

Didn't stay there. Just had Saturday afternoon tea and drinks. What a disaster. Tons of waiters and waitresses walking around but they are totally disinterested in the guests. You have to wave and shout to get any attention. No one cleans the tables outside where we were sitting. They are dirty and unappetizing. No one cleans up after guests have... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
