An excellent location and great reception staff. The very good at orientation, had excellent recommendations and generally were very accommodating. My single room was tiny, but I understand this is normal in Amsterdam. Unreliable Wi-Fi meant I couldn't go on line when I needed to. No information in the room regarding the hotel or its services, for example that you...

Jay at the Hotel Alexander was very helpful in getting our ticket to the Rijks Museum printed. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the museums, and we had a very quiet room on the top floor. The hotel can be cheaply and easily reached from the Amsterdam airport by taking bus 197 for 4 Euros per person...

Small rooms is pretty normal if you're staying anywhere in the canal type building. Alexander was close to the vondlepark area and the big museums and close to bus/trams that could get you to Dam square or any other spot you wanted to get to. This place has newly remodled bathrooms. I think they possibly sacrificed a little of the...

The location of the hotel is in the centre of the city, which make it a strategic location to start browsing the city of Amsterdam. I'm doing a solo trip and I'm a kind of person prefers walking and wondering around the city. This location gives me a good starting point to explore the Amsterdam in a very convenient way....

The location is perfect and the hotel is clean. As in most hotels of this price the rooms are small. Make a point of asking them not too put you in the attic room as its even smaller with the sloping ceiling. Do not let this put you off this is a lovely hotel and the guys on reception could...

The hotel is old-fashioned but very well managed. Staffs are honest, friendly and professionally devoted to their jobs. The hotel was fully booked so I was given their smallest single room but they were honest about it and promised to move my room as soon as any other vacancies available, and they eventullay kept the promise. Location is great, only...

Hotel Alexander in Amsterdam is an excellent tourist hotel. It is located close to metro connections and therefore it is easy to access all parts of the city with a day metro pass. The hotel is a very good place to stay: good service and friendly helpful desk clerks, comfortable although small rooms (remember, you're in Europe!) and excellent showers....
