Spent 5 nights here. Staff very helpful. Breakfast ok--staff friendly. Best feature was the hotel is 'toss of the stone' to train station and visitor information center. I used an I Amsterdam pass to museums and for public transportation. I highly recommend it. Allows you to enter shorter lines. Takes worry out of transportation. Many of the tram lines originate...

Hi, We only stayed one night but all the staff were helpful & friendly. A great place and close to many interesting sights! Across the road from the train station. Hope you enjoy Amsterdam as we did.

Just come back from a 3day break to Amsterdam and stayed 2 nights at the Bellevue Hotel. What can I say, the location is great, especially as the 4 of us (All Girls) dont travel light! Central Station is just a quick walk across the road from the Hotel, and all main areas of the city are in walking distance....

Chose this hotel for it's proximity to the station which is great if (unlike us) you emerge from the right exit! (It's just a 5 minute walk from the far right exit). Stayed for 1 night in a room overlooking the street. With earplugs in and the air-conditioning on we weren't kept awake by the noise below. The room was...

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Bellvue Hotel. Hotel is clean and confortable, just want you want for a city break. Room was small, but everything you need, and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning unit is brilliant, very effective. Breakfast was fairly good, but I only have fruit with yoghurt and bread with preserve anyway, although...

I agree with the other positive reviews of this hotel, but wanted to note especially that you can get a good room here if you are light sleeper like me. This was the third of three hotels we stayed at in the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, back to Amsterdam) and in the first two the street noise made it really hard...

This hotel was in a really good location being close to Dam square as well as Central Station. It was clean and modern and the staff were very friendly. Rooms were small and bathroom was kind of just a cubicle, but certainly fine if you are there to see Amsterdam rather than stay in your hotel. The worst thing was...

Stayed there for 2 nights on a long weekend and had a great stay. Check-in was fast and efficient. The room wasn't enormous (it was only a single room) and as with most hotel rooms in Amsterdam this seems to be the norm, but it has all the amenities a single traveller could ask for. The bathroom was clean and...

This hotel is described as having 'design rooms'. I wouldn't call them that, more 'concept rooms'. Transfers from Schiphol airport - a taxi will cost you around 45 euro's - which is a mistake I made. Pre-book the shuttle online for 22.50 euros, which gets you a return journey and offers much better value. Location - just away from the...

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
