Fantastic location, right across the Centraal station. They initially said that check-in was possible only at 12 but somehow got a room ready by 930 (Thanks!). The internet connection here is very good and the room is quite spacious and beautifully lit with LED light strips (found that very thoughtful.) The breakfast is a typical continental style with bread, croissants... More

First I thought this was the IBIS located next to train station. When we were directed to this location instead it was a surprise. Can't complain about the location (near train station), service of staff in checking in or included breakfast. But the rooms are small although ours was located off street so was quiet. It was overpriced though and... More

Stayed here for 4 nights. Location is amazing - just walking distance (like 5 minutes) from Amsterdam Centraal Station and near the canal belt. The staff are very nice, especially those at the reception. Booked a single room, which I really liked. It was perfect for me. Breakfast was also good. Would definitely book this hotel again!

Very small rooms, corridor is scary (dark, maze&very narrow), no mini bar in rooms, room safe doesn't work, very poor breakfast, rooms windows overlook each other. I won't stay here again. Central location but quite priced, old building, no iron available

We spent 3 nights in this hotel and would probaply not go back although it was ok. Our room was basicly OK, tidy and with a nice wide bed but we were on the 2nd floor (above bar and facing a very busy and noicy street) and could hear everything from the room next door orfrom the bar...not sure which.... Very convenient location, close to the train station (so I just walked there with my luggage, no need for a taxi). Room was clean, bed was fine. The staff serving breakfast was super super pleasant. The staff at the front desk was very polite. Internet worked fine. No problems. Would come back here definitely.

Overall I had a good stay here-with the exception of other noisy guests. Ok its Amsterdam. (After calling the reception things did quiet down.) The reception was professional. The room was nice and clean The hotel was very convenient to the main train station. Breakfast was good offering some local cheeses. Employees were very friendly and helpful everywhere from the... Well located to Central Station and also the tourist spots. The room was small but adequate. The shower entry was not suitable for large people but otherwise ok except I don't think it needed a rain head as the wand was enough. A reasonable selection for the included breakfast. No view from our room but at least it was quiet.... More

I booked this hotel for my first night in Amsterdam primarily because of its proximity to the central train station. I booked for 30 June then changed to 1 July then about three weeks before arrival I realised it would be for the original night of 30 June. I tried to change the booking through booking.com and was advised that... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
