We booked the executive suite and expected to have have a service that meets the price we paid. Room was spacious but dark with no sufficient lighting. Housekeeping was poor. We had to call to have toilet amenities refilled and to have a set of slippers. No one to help with luggage. We had to carry if to the room ourselves without a trolley.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for vacation. Hotel is located in a quiet area which is so close to city center (10 mins walk to Amsterdam Central). They have very good car park at the additional cost. If you get the parking from the hotel, it will be more cheaper than get it separately from the paking owner. The staffs were really nice and helpful. We had a decent size room with comfortable beds and pillows. They do have a safe, iron board, and dryer. The problem with room was inconsistent temperature of the room which we could not fix. Also we faced similar inconsistency of water temperature when we were taking shower. There was a drainage problem in basin and shower. The water was stocking and we had to wait for the water to go down the drainage. In terms of their restaurant, we tried the breakfast buffet and it was awful. It was quite expensive and they didn't have variety. Also most of the glasses, cups and cutleries were dirty. I also ordered egg for my self and went back to the chef and asked for another one for my husband and he said “again??? Do you want to order again? “ It was vierd since it was buffet and even if I wanted to order again for myself, that should not be a problem.…
I have stayed at the Room Mate Aitana a few times now and I keep coming back! There is something special about this place. It's a beautiful building, and the lobby is very atmospheric. I love that it has a marina in front of it, where else do you find that in Amsterdam?! The team is usually very charming as well! I will definitely be returning here!
Alright hotel. Room is huge but empty, we could have had a couch or something in there. In terms of interior the hotel lobby looks promising but the rooms are furnished with the bare minimum, very plain and boring. Housekeeping kept knocking at the door even when we had the ”do not disturb” sign in the handle.
This hotel is faultless. Food is amazing, staff are very friendly and the room was spotless and spacious. Most attractions can be reached by foot within 30 minutes or the hotel can call a taxi for you if you don’t want to walk. I will definitely be staying here again.
We stayed here in January for three nights in an executive suite. From the amazingly warm welcome on arrival, with everything explained in details and offers of help to book or find places to visit, to the beautiful reception area and bar, to our room which was fantastic! The bed is by far the comfiest we have slept in, the floor to ceiling windows with views over the city, the coffee machine and lounge area, made our stay amazing. The room is a little dark, for us fine, not so much if you wanted to work in it but that’s the only little down side I could see. The hotel is right by a bus stop, one stop away from the station where you can hop on metro or a tram and the free ferry over to Adam lookout etc. we got a three day travel card, well worth it! The room was quiet, warm and welcoming. The perfect place to stay to discover Amsterdam…
I booked here for my boyfriends 30TH birthday, I told the hotel in advance and they went above and beyond to make it special. The room was absolutely amazing with views of the water, it was clean and stylish with the comfiest bed ever. The hotels breakfast was delicious and so much to choose from, even for myself who has an allergy. Staff were helpful and friendly at all times, the lady that cleaned our room was also so lovely. The location of the hotel is great, just a very small walk to the main part of Amsterdam. Everything about the hotel is perfect and I will definitely recommend to family and friends and will 100% stay again! Thank you so much for a lovely stay :)
Excellent high end hotel based on the idock In Amsterdam, covered all my needs for a solo trip to Amsterdam! Bagels and beans opposite ideal to adapt my gluten free dietary requirements! Highly recommend. Walking distance to Amsterdam central. And staff will go above and beyond to help you out!
Good hotel that had slightly quirky rooms that are large and very comfortable. Restaurant in hotel was great and we ate their twice; particularly because the hotel is a 10-15 walk out of the main area and we were tired after a day of site-seeing. It was a great room for two teenagers to share as they had two seperate beds and a large room. This hotel suited our needs and I appreciated the peace and quiet out of the main area.
I love this hotel and it’s very modern which I like. All the staff were amazing and helpful and overall a great hotel. I do have a few problems which our stay which are: 1. The workers knocked on our door and were ready to clean the room, when we declined about 10 minutes later they knocked again and we had to explain that we didn’t want the room cleaned. They knocked about 4 times while we were trying to get ready. One of the times they didn’t even knock! They just barged into the room. 2. The lighting is amazing at this hotel but some areas of the room had no lights. There was lots of lamps but not actual lights. 3. The lifts were not working and very slow and when we went to find the stairs, we realised they were on the other side of the building. If you have stairs then why not put them all together? But overall I am very pleased with our stay and I hope to be able to visit again.…
