We booked a cycle and barge tour from Bruges to Amsterdam. The two guides. Thomas and Leia were outstanding but what also made this trip very special were the Fiep ( barge named after Captain Haree Sir's daughter) crew. The Captain was a delight and guided us safely through the waterways. He always greeted us at the end of the... More

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Barge is nicely furnished and very comfortable. Rooms were cleaned each day so that when we returned after our bicycling, we walked into our rooms and could shower and clean up. Loved traveling this way. Best, though, were the captain and the staff. All superb. And the meals were out of this world good. Came in from... More

recently my wife and I did a Bike a Barge trip with the Fiep. Captain Hari and crew were marvelous. In the winter months the Barge docks and can be used as a BnB. The boat is clean as can be and the spacious common rooms. The food we had was marvelous. I can't vouch for the winter breakfast but... More

On our trip through holland biking around the tulips, we were extraordinarily lucky to get this boat and this crew as our boat....the cook is wonderful, breakfast and dinner was always superb and creative and despite a tiny kitchen, they prepared extraordinary food for vegetarians and others. Karen, the ship hostess was delightful, helpful, and efficient. Harry the captain runs... More

My wife and I attended a beer cruise with Bon Beer Voyage from Amsterdam to Bruges. The Fiep was our home for a week, and it was wonderful! The captain ran a tight ship and oversaw every aspect our time aboard. The staff was so accommodating. My wife caught a bad cold and had to stay on board for two... More

Very nice and unusual location, in a boat close to the NEMO. The rooms are tiny but confortable and clean. The breakfast is excellent : a lot of different things and all of them are delicious! Moreover you can have coffee or tea at any time, and Karin is super kind and helpful. This is really a great place to... More

I've stayed in some great places in Amsterdam. And some less so great....but always worked on the basis that all you need from your digs is a place to crash. Fiep made me think again. I love Amsterdam to bits and have been coming for 30 years, but Fiep has become almost the reason to visit Amsterdam. Almost - well,... More

We stayed at this location because we wanted something different for my birthday weekend away. The trip went perfectly from start to finish. Cheap Easyjet flights to Schipol then easy train ride to Amsterdam central station then only a ten minute walk to the boat. Easy peasy! Anyway what can I say we were greeted by Karin when we arrived... More

Lovely place to stay. Captain very friendly and made us feel at home. Room small but add to the experience. Would recommend to everyone. 15 minutes away from central station and 2 minutes from the Nemo science museum.

Really close to the Amsterdam Centrum but also located in a unique part of the city (Oosterdok) which had loads of great maritime history & a cultural vibe. Harrie, the father of the hotelboat fiep family, met our every need & made sure we had enough space for our luggage *even if we ended up travelling light in the end*... More

Eastern Docklands (Oostelijk Havengebied)
A visit to Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands presents the opportunity to marvel at its many modern architectural masterpieces like the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam and the beguiling Python Bridge while taking in its scenic waterfront with its trendy assortment of cafés, restaurants, bars, and clubs.
